Just read an article in the Dispatch that stated that Lexington is already in the playoffs and that Thomasville had to win to get in. Did I miss something? I don't see them both getting in. If Thomasville wins, they would have the same record and the 'Dogs would have the head to head advantage.
Does anybody have an explanation?

I gotcha, Dawg. But does that make sense with the projections you've seen?

I have no clue OC,maybe it was just a misprint...or something with us losing to EAST and Lexington beating EAST....if we lose tonight do we really deserve a playoff spot anyway?...let Lexington go to Lincolnton and get stomped lol

I'm with you on that sentiment. I just can't figure out how Lexington is already in. If we win, it 's a three way tie with Thomasville and Lexington having the same record for seeding purposes. Apparently, they only played 10 games and would be 5-5. With us dropping a loss, we would also be 5-5. East beat us, Lexington beat East, and we would have beaten Lexington.
As much as I'd like to visit with my good friend Lincolnton, I have no interest in hearing that wolf howl that many times.

The way I figured it, if Thomasville wins tonight, Lexington would be 5-5 (2-3) and that would still be good enough to get in. There will be several 5 win teams get in, and a couple left out. Thomasville is definitely in with a win tonight. As far as I know conference win percentage breaks the tie, and several 5 win teams have a worse than 40% winning percentage in conference. West Lincoln and Newton-Conover, if tonight goes as expected, will go in at 5-5 (2-5), which puts them right on the bubble. Both of them should be pulling for Lexington for sure (assuming they wanna get in and go to Shelby, Monroe, etc.).

Thanks L-town. You may be right. I just didn't see any projections this week that included both. Some included Thomasville, but not Lexington, some the other way around. We'll see next week, I guess. I surely wouldn't want to be one of those teams who have to practice next week, but ends up staying home.
