Thomasville season outlook?

I'm very interested to see what we do at qb this year! I'm really looking forward to seeing a healthy Robinson in the backfield and feel that he can have a very special season especially if the line does well! On defense i think the linebackers should be pretty solid with Gathings leading the way and the dline has some good talent returning. Got some pretty athletic teams on that nonconference schedule and i feel some of those games are winnable, it will be exciting to watch

The kid that played quarterback for the jv team was very impressive but got hurt toward the end of the season.

Is Jahon and Jerome Robinson still at Thomasville. Coached these guys in aau football. Super gifted athletes

T-Ville definitely needs something if they are to make it beyond the 3rd round this year. Judging from last year idk if they'd be explosive enough to hang with some of those guys at the end of the year.
80%+ of the defense returning? Plus a 1k yard back and a couple starters returning on the o line? Dogs could be scary if they get a solid QB to lead them.

I'm one too, it would be awesome to see y'all there come thanksgiving.
Well I can't believe they lost that game to draughn. It would have been a much better matchup against Mount Airy then they were. I know they won. But the ending was amazing. Getting the ball knocked out of your hands and back into the field on the what two yard line. And they should have never been in that place anyway. If they hadn't have gotten too cute they would have beaten the Burke county boys pretty bad.

Defense is very good with two senior LB's. four returning DL starters and a very good safety. Offense has several good OL back and two quality RB's. QB developing is the biggest question but they have several athletic guys to work with. Biggest need is probably a field goal kicker that can boot a 25-35 yarder to finish drives. The Robinsons are still there and part of a special group of 10th graders the Dogs staff are developing for the future.

I agree the Robinson twins are special. Are they on varsity?

I believe one of them was the freshman JV QB. Saw him score 7 td’s in one game, all over 50 yards. Got injured at the end of the regular season or he could have helped in the playoffs. He definitely needs to be on the field somewhere this year.
OC, you are correct. He is a good player and just needs to get his mechanics right. That 10/11 class is very athletic and can be a great Bulldog team the coming seasons.

Ya'll get that Dawg Defense back to status quo and it'll be lights out for opposing teams...

Returning a lot guys from last years team. I think we have a good shot at a championship or at least make the west finals this year depending on the QB and secondary. The RaNeLmAn and Salisbury games will be the biggest measuring sticks before the playoffs.

Defense is stout and will lead this team. I have some questions about the offense; lost a lot in the backfield from last year. Mt. Airy is defending state champs and has the heart of their squad returning. Will be an interesting season.
Offensively they return 4-5 OL starters and a 1000 yard rusher at TB. They should score lots of points. Anyone see the midnight practice? How did they look?

Not many Td’s will be scored on this defense this year - 10 returning starters - 2 smash mouth linebackers - front four that will create a nightmare for QBs. I predict multiple interceptions from secondary. We just have to score !! Oline is ready and 4 in the back field that will be gone in a flash !!!!
Sounds like y'all and MA could meet in the playoffs after reading this. That would be a dandy of a game.

Dogs looked pretty good in the scrimmage vs northeast guilford last night. Barring a big pass play (that I think was offensive pi) they maybe gained 10 yards all night. Even on that big pass play that put them on the 2 the dogs bowed up and actually pushed them back to the 10 before the teams switched again. This defense has the potential to really be special!

I was very impressed with the defense last night. Go Dogs!!

Hard to tell much from HPC as they are bad. Randleman will be a much harder test, but excited about the season and the young players stepping up for the Dogs.

Yeah, for the most part wanted to see how sharp the players looked early on. I got to the stadium around 7:30pm, didn't get to scout Randleman much but they have size like HPC except faster on defense and offense. Had a big RB and mobile QB. Kinda like with our game, hard to gage them since they were playing ED. Still, going to be a tough one.
