Oh! I dont know...let me see...we can point to this year at a 3A ROCKY MOUNT TEAM that went to BACK TO BACK 3A STATE TITLE GAMES. WON THE TITLE IN 2015 and looks to be a STRONG CONTENDER IN THE 3A TITLE HUNT THIS YEAR! Funny how they didn't want to drive the bus 10 minutes down the road to rescedule that game once they realized they were about to take a smackdown! But the misinformed will continue to be just that MISINFORMED even when they are shown black and white paper facts.
I’m a Tarboro guy and I’m not going to give anything but respect to Wallace Rose-Hill. I would love to see the teams get matched up again, but without a change in ADMs, we probably won’t see that anytime soon.
I can remember Bojangles giving away State tickets when you bought chicken sandwich.

Bojangles bought them too. UNC was giving away tickets just to get butts in seats. Big difference.
I was at the 2016 game when Tarboro had a 10-7 lead on the road midway the 4th and SN scored with 6 min left and once more with a minute left. Final score was 21-10, but it was a lot closer deal. Tarboro in the final quarter looked exhausted and couldn’t even get the plays and right players on the field. When they finally did, they either false started, got called for delay of game or the coaches had to call time out to prevent another delay of game. It was really frustrating to see a team you were smothering for three quarters get up off the mat and beat you at the end. That was a big learning experience for those players though and it lead to state championships the next two years.
Oh. So they beat Tarboro, then Tarboro took them off the schedule. . JK. Did something happen with Southern and Edgecombe County schools because SW hasn't played them in a few years either?

Tarboro's athletic budget doesn't really afford too many long trips non-conference. Washington is our longest running rival. Rocky Mount, Northern Nash, Nash Central, SW Edgecombe, North Edgcombe are all pretty close by. Southern Nash seems to have a flexible OOC schedule. They have road games this year against Warren County, South Granville and Northside - Jax. They are putting in a lot of miles on many two-lane roads to make those trips also. Maybe SWE'98 will drop in and give the Cougar spin on things.
I was telling Simmons (freshman receiver that went from UNC to penn st and back to unc) grandfather about Javonte and how he scored on long runs from scrimmage on the first play of all 3 games I went to see him. Howell looks really good too.
