Tarboro or WRH

WRH, they should play. I've seen Tarboor posters over there in 1A thinking they could win 2A and 3A titles.

Well we have won 3 2A titles (09,10,11) and 1 3A title (84)...However don't really see the need to start this debate. Both programs are elite and have experienced great success.

.....in the present, like today, like 2018, 2019. You know, like relevant times

Well Chopper, Its hard for us to win a 2A title in relevant times because were in 1AA. But...

Since everyone loves hypotheticals, I sincerely believe if Tarboro were 2A we would be right in the mix. I've seen Tarboro advance to 5 straight 2A title games and win 3 of them within the last decade, and the overall talent level on Tarboros roster is the same since dropping to 1AA.

Its not like the talent dropped off because we play in a lower division. The only reason were in 1A now is because most of the non-student athletes have chosen to go to the local charter school. Its still the same athletes coming through Tarboro high as it was when we were in 2A and 3A.

Kenan98 I agree with that assessment this Wallace team is crucial they will truly crush Yarborough this year but this week we looking to havelock and take it from there win or lose we gonna give it our best to beat em!! So I’ll take WRH Over The Tarboro Any Day !!!

TBH, this is a pointless thread. Tarboro and WRH have BOTH been successful in different classifications so there’s no sense trying to downgrade either program. I have been on these boards a long time and I’ve never seen any Tarboro poster post anything other than being super proud of their team and respect others at the same time, and they have fully earned every bit too.

Ain't nobody putting down anyone. Only having conversation. A Viking actually brought it up on other thread.

If we only talk about the present, like right now, then that should apply to every school, including yours, and you can’t talk about anything that happened before 2012. Deal?

No, your posters over there talking as if they are the best of all 4 classes. Play a championship caliber team in a higher class and win before you can even think along those lines.

My B/F from Wallace told me no matter the distance or classification Wallace will stand proud and be victorioussss! In the end. I believe in my bull dog.

Man Tarboro should send JK and Wallace thank you cards every season, cause when they were 1a Tarboro couldn't win nothing. FACTS!!!! This Wallace team would destroy Tarboro by 28 or more.
Yeah well, your missing 2 key facts here. One, Tarboro won 3 consecutive 2A titles before moving to 1A. It directly coincided with the charter school opening. Two, When they moved to 1A alot of Tarboro's talent transferred to Rocky Mount, SWE and surrounding schools because they didn't want to play in 1A. Those few years Tarboro was still very competitive with those schools. Took a few years for their talent to recover. Anyone who thinks Tarboro wouldnt go into 2A and be a contender is in denial. Tell ya what... get JK, WRH, and NE to put Tarboro on the non confrence schedule? Then we can revisit this debate. Ask SWE how that's worked out for them? They do pretty well in the 2A playoffs consistently.I predict we would hear alot of crickets chirping from those schools in this thread once those hypothetical games happen. By the way, saw SWE up close and personal Wednesday. Yall better take notice and not worry about Tarboro. Best hope they go big 2A. Lol

You won't make a living betting against Tarboro. They've been pumping out d1 talent an aweful lot. It's a good chance the Vikings will move up in class soon, there's a big tire factory coming that's gonna bring some good jobs into Edgecombe county, and Tarboro is alot better community than Murder Mount, you may just get your wish.

Seems as though we end up in the toughest 2a bracket every year.

Got a ? For you Tarboro..WRH.. Fans..Which team has the most NFL players that played for your school....
Is this a trick question? I mean Tarboro's NFL guys are pretty well documented and known by anyone who follows football.

I haven't seen WRH this year. I never said Tarboro would win. I was simply stating that Tarboro would be a straight up contender for a title "IF" they were in 2A. Which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. I would love to go see the dogs play, at this point (unless weather becomes a factor) I won't be able to see the dogs till playoff time. You can be sure I'll be at the first playoff game I am able to attend. Right now in the 2A east, it looks like the dogs and NE are the top teams but coming in the rearview and gaining is Southwest Edgecombe. They have an impressive looking team. I feel like they can run with anyone in the 2A east right now. They have the athletes, size, and depth. I think the "function at the junction" is going to be interesting this year SWE has the size and ability to pound on Tarboro kind of like how Tarboro pounds on teams. This game will be more competitive than ever. SWE has a household name carrying the rock in Cortezz Jones. If they go small 2A they are going to be something to deal with. That's all I'm saying.

Isn't QBU just down the road? Wolfpack has a very good one in soph Matt Mckay and maybe even better one standing on the sidelines. Can't wait till Will Shipley arrives!!
I think Dorean has that kid waiting in the wings for later on this year. If what I've been hearing is true, I wouldnt be surprised if he isn't starting by seasons end.

Youngest son was at UNC last night. Said that the team has really rallied around Howell. Told him it's easy for a team to do when a QB makes big plays when his team needs him too. Builds confidence throughout the team and right now UNC believes.

HEY BUD, WAS THERE ANYONE ELSE IN ATTENDANCE AT THE unc GAME? :D:D:D

Is this a serious? lol. WRH has been a better team than Tarboro for the last decade. The only Tarboro team that could have beat WRH was the Gurley team and that would still be a toss up.
Truth is, WRH has nothing to gain by scheduling Tarboro except for a solid gate. Scheduling lesser 2A opponents helps with seeding more for playoffs. WRH needs seeding more than gate. Teams in higher classifications that schedule Tarboro find out they are outgunned and try to weasel out of the L. Look no further than the Rocky Mount/Tarboro fiasco. Saying WRH was better than Tarboro last year is as hypothetical as the discussion about the potential match up.

No facts missing! Tarboro was still beating teams the way they are doing now. But when it came to JK and Wallace, they folded. JK and Wallace teams didn't fear the name, like other schools do. In the 4yrs that we all were 1a together JK beat Tarboro twice, (once at JK and at Tarboro). And Wallace beat them twice (once at Tarboro and at Wallace). And like I stated this Wallace team would beat Tarboro by 28+

What part of them winning 3-2A titles from 2009 till 2011 then a charter school gets built then they lose numbers and players to bigger schools do you not understand? JK and WRH numbers were trending up. Going 2A easily proves that. It took Tarboro 4 years to recover from that. Yet they still made playoff runs. Those are real facts outside the football field that are readily documented that you can research yourself. Those scores you list are indeed missing those facts! So, pound your chest all you want neither one of those teams have proven anything to anyone yet this year, especially JK. They beat a NJ team the other night that couldn't beat Farmville Central right now and a close win against Pender that is not much more than a 8 man football team. WRH its yet to be seen they do have a shot to prove themselves. It hasn't been wise to bet against Tarboro in recent years but it sure has been between the schools you mentioned. 33 game win streak proves that.
