For those of you who haven't seen Kaveon Freshwater you are I'm for a treat. Take a couple minutes to look at why this kid has all the big time college coaches drooling. He was nominated as a MaxPreps preseason soph All American earlier this season. Along side 6'4 Kaveon Freshwater we have 6'5 ODU signee Adrian Spellman. Both of these kids are a qbs nightmare.

Defense is my favorite part of the game. A couple good ones at NE for sure.

Swo#1 I knew you would like his highlights. Obviously I am biased because he plays for us but I promise you that even if he played for swo I would be impressed. I was at that game against Currituck and I can tell you that they have a very good qb who is hard to get a hold of. This is Traveon Freshwater little brother. He's very fast for his size and obviously is powerful. I'm going to post up here for one of my favorite players Adrian Spellman later. I love both these players game and there is another kid I'm high on also. He is soph #11 Lister, he has been playing out of his mind as of late.

55 is Staten, yes he is good also. Yeah I saw 11 on the field Friday. I did notice 10 Quasi rested up as well as 4 Freshwater. It's going to be fun having everyone back for the first time in 6 wks. Look for a possible mixture of Biggie & Hodge at qb depending on how the game is going. That makes us a very dangerous team imo. Bullet we are back!!!!!!!
I'm very confident and believe we will not only win but win big!!!

Looking at this game it seems to me this game will be won or lost on the edges. I haven't seen anything from SWO that tells me they can beat NE to the edge. I think they will try to run in the gaps and will have success early, but I think coach Moore will adjust his defense for that. That's when the battle for the edges will begin. NE is presumed to be at 100% for this one. Even at 100% NE has been vulnerable on the edges against RBs with good athleticism and speed (see Rose, Havelock, and Edenton). I dont see SWO having that kinda kid on the roster that will beat any combination of Spellman or Freshwater to the edge. SWO will need their coach and QB to be deceptive with fakes and misdirection to get a step on the DE's and LBs for SWO to have success getting around the corner. SWO should be able to do a fair job of stopping the run. Problem is I don't know how much coach Moore will look to run against this defense. With Proctor presumingly back and Hodge moving to his natural WR spot I believe NE will get scores with that combo. I would like to see Quasi seal the game running the ball once NE gets a lead. I think he is NE's best shot in the run game to get tough yards, move the chains, and keep the clock rolling. It may not be in the cards though if Proctor is back and they may want to get him more reps. If the connection between Proctor and Hodge is back to what it was, it may not matter cuz it will be a rolling clock anyway. NE will need Proctor back and in early season form for that to happen. No one knows until he gets on the field and gets hit. If Proctor feels good and I am coach Moore I probably call those dig routes he threw so well against Conley and Rose to help his confidience. 42-16 NE, if Proctor plays and is what he was. 28-14 NE, if Proctor doesn't play or is a shell of what he was.

Good post bud33345. Pretty much right on. I too think we do a pretty fair job against the run. Last two games we covered the outside OK. I do have thoughts about NE pass game. But like you said IF proctor comes back at QB it will depend on how he handles the hits. Hodge has done a great job filling in. Big question is the pass rush for SWO. Can we keep pressure on either one ?? If we are able to establish a decent run attack and keep the NE Offense off the field then we have a chance. Lots of IFs for both teams. When they do have the ball have to make them earn every yard.

I agree 100%. NE has had a rough time rushing the ball at all. Because of that, its been easy for defenses to call blitzes or just have pass rushers not having to defend the run. If Proctor didnt have to scramble to establish some sort of rushing attack or drop back to pass so often, he more than likely would have stayed healthy. That's the biggest question for you guys, can you est. the run? I think there is some success to be had in the middle of NE's defense and you should be able to move the ball there early. The big money, back breaking run plays will be found on the edge. If SWO could go to the air at all and keep the DE's honest it would open the edges up tremendously for SWO and give them a real good chance. Like you said its alot of "ifs" and "buts". lol

Richlands and Ayden-Grifton both stacked the box on us and did a real good job with our run game. Our Soph. QB Moore did a Great Job in both games throwing on that type of defense. He also runs real well. At 6'3" and well over 200 lbs. His off mark throws and Receivers dropping the ball when they were wide open keep his passing stats down. He does make some Soph. mistakes but will have to have another stellar performance for us. No secret we like to run the left side. I noticed on some film that NE favors stacking more D line on their Right side (our left) and just having Freshwater left of the center. We did have some luck on our right side against AG tho. Losing Foster really hurt us on the outside runs. If we can run right at Freshwater I think we can be OK.

But bottom line is you cant put all your money on what you did against another team. Either of Us. We will see how we match up on Friday Night. Looks like NE has the upper hand on the kicking game. For some reason we dont like to field Punts and letting them go has hurt us. When we do return them we get good yardage. I suppose the kick coverage will determine that.

I'll leave all the BIG LOP-SIDED predictions to others. We like BIG games against teams that play big and I will leave it at that. Just win !!

Hey #1 you won't have to worry about your kids returning kickoffs because our kicker Caleb Brickhouse kicks them in the end zone 90% of the time. When it comes to fg's, well he just doesn't seem to miss. The one he missed in the first game against Conley was blocked. I believe he missed one other but it was a terrible snap and hold so there wasn't much he could do. He's attempted quite a few this yr and has been deadly accurate. I will be sad to see him leave.

Freshwater is very fast swo#1. Don't be fooled by his size. He's also only a sophomore and so is Rashawn Lister #11. He's going to be a good one as well. Our future here is very bright and it seems like your's at swo may be as well. Sounds like you have a very good young qb.

Over the years SWO has had some great kickers. The Sunday bros. Another set of bros., I cant remember their names, and they lived across the street from me to boot, and with out a doubt Z. Maddix. He would put em thru the uprights on kickoffs. A great FG kicker also and punts. We called him Auto-Maddix. He went on to App. St. He got a ring with us and the same week SWO got a soccer ring. I think we got the soccer title on Friday and the Football title on Sat. He was the goalie on the soccer team. I know how much a kicker helps. Kickoffs Im not concerned with, its the punts we dont seem to return to often. We just let em go. I hope we get a chance on a BUNCH of NE punts Friday .....

Two of your fellow swo posters, give me a few and I will tell you their usernames. I had to block them because it didn't matter what I posted up here they always had very negative comments about our program. It didn't matter what thread I posted under they still interjected their nonsense. This has gone on for two straight yrs up here. I haven't heard anything from the one swo poster that we had to block last year. I believe he was a doctor or something and had an office in Raleigh. That's what he said anyway, he kept getting kicked off this site and came back under multiple different usernames. He was completely out of control.

You do know that a group of swo fans tried to have me kicked out of last yrs game. They straight up lied to the sheriff's deputies working and said I was being aggressive towards some of them. I was at the game with Otis from up here and my daughter and her boyfriend. We never once said anything to anybody from swo. They were so mad because they were losing to us. Luckily for us when the deputies came up there some others at the game that we didn't even know took up for us and said it was actually the swo fans who were trying their best to antagonize us. It was just crazy

So the SWO fans went and sat on the Northeastern side and were antagonizing y’all. They shouldn’t do that crap. Let me know if they come over to your side this year and I’ll get our administrators to go remove them!!

Make sure to get your story correct. I stood on the visitors side where I always do. I said not one word to any SWO fan. I'm sure you don't believe me but this is true. I made the mistake of posting up here that I'd be on the top row 40 yd line visitors side if any swo poster would like to make some friendly bets. So naturally the posters on this site made it known to all over there that I was a Northeastern guy. Otis just kind of got drug in it because he was with me. When swo scored or did something good they all turned and yelled at us. It was quite an evening to say the least. When we scored never did I clap or anything, and I also wasn't wearing any Northeastern gear. I like the visitors side because it's not crowded and I can get in and out quickly. I will once again be over there but I sure won't post up where I'll be sitting.

I know it's hard to believe but I sat with Goobs at the Havelock game. I got more excited over the NE plays and non calls than he did. I was impartial to both teams, I just like good high school football. I will quietly, with the fans around me, say whether an official blew a call or not but I know that there isn't much to be done about it and no matter what your opinion is or how right you are there isn't much you can do about it. Goobs is not a instigator by a long shot. You wouldnt even know it was the same guy that post on this forum. He is a good friend of mine and I know he loves his eagles and a good kicker.Lol

I know who that SWO poster is. It wasn't who we originally thought it was.

Why wouldn’t you sit with your own fans? Do you not get along with them, either?

Maybe if you took time to read the post you'd get your answer. Like I said, I sit quietly and mind my own business. I can tell you this though, if trouble comes my way I'm not going to run. I'm glad our teams get to play. Your Swo Stallions get the perfect opportunity to show all of eastern Nc that we're frauds.

Nothing but respect for Northeastern players and coaches. Y'all have a great team. The problem I have is with those 30 or 40 fans that sit in a group on our side every time we play there. I've heard they do it every game. They whoop and holler every time Northeastern has big plays and they are right in the middle of the visiting bleachers. I understand from what you say, you are not one of these. Whoever they are, they create an atmosphere that could go bad if the right persons get pissed off. Why don't they just sit with their own fans on the home side? Are they such dumbasses that they don't even get along with their own fans?

I think this conversation is getting a bit out of hand. You should be able to support a team no matter where you sit. People like Goobs and SWOunclerico are adults and should be able to control situations that can get a little out of control between each of their fans. No one should want to be known as "that program" where civility is not expected. Especially when it comes to kids on a football field. I always make it a point to introduce myself and let the ones around me know where I'm coming from in regards to the teams playing. Attempts to be social with the fans around you even when you are in different team colors can go a long way.

You couldn't be more wrong. There is myself and two older gentlemen who sit in the same spot every game. Like myself they don't wear any Northeastern gear. Stop spreading lies if you don't have a clue what your talking about. I guess I will just film the swo fans this week and share the video for all to see just how out of control they get and the way they conduct theirselves.

I was really hoping this thread did no south this year. Lets all just talk football for each team. A little smack talk and kidding around is OK, I do it myself. But I am careful not make any reference to unsportsman like conduct and sure dont condone it. If ya get a flag thrown on ya by a deputy sheriff it will be more than 15 yards ....should be at least 15 days.

Should be a great crowd Friday Night. I thought long and hard about making the trip back but 4 days of driving ( 2 each way) ...... I dont think so. If I do make it will be for the State Game. I've done it twice before in 03 and 04. I used to make the trip regular before I retired here. Would drive straight thru on a 3 day weekend. The Mind says yes, but the ole body says NO Way Jose. I'll just listen to Billy and Melvin do their usual great job.

Here are the first two verses of this week game between SWO and NE:

A flock of eagles went out flying one dark and windy day

Upon a light pole at the field they rested along their way

When all at once a mighty herd of red eyed Stallions they saw

A- running on the road and up the cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel

Their manes were black and shiny and their hot breath they could feel

A bolt of fear went through them as they thundered through the sky

For they saw the Stallions coming hard and he heard their mournful cry

RUN AND HIT HARD STALLLLLLLLLLIONS
