I found out last night that the Qb for us moved this year from what I hear he wasn’t a team player anyone else hear more about this? But the good new the new qb is coach whiteheads kid he is a jr this year and he looked really good last night very accurate passing the ball threw 3-4 deep touchdown passes.

Where did he go? Been starter since sophomore year? Swo will not win many games with Whitehead kid starting. Damn, crazy things happening, at one time a powerhouse. Every swo team that was great, had their best athletes playing the QB position. Whitehead is a joke as a coach period. Again, Dempsey and his followers won't relate to three neighborhoods in swo community, which produced the best players at swo.
Idk where he went I asked the same thing. But I agree they need to reach out to those neighborhoods and get the athletes they used to have. But I think you you would have seen him play last night you would know he actually really damn good. He can sling that ball. I saw him scramble and run a couple times and he’s not slow. I think he will fit in pretty good.
Swo will never be a passing team, period. Smash mouth football is how swo was built. I'm telling you, Whitehead at QB swo will struggle to win a few games in the new conference. Sad days ahead of us. I travel 2 plus hrs every Friday for 25 years to watch swo play. Can't believe how far swo has fallen with Dempsey at the helm.
We’ll just have to wait and see. At the end of the day I just want them to be successful
Same here brother. But if you know swo and what phil built, smashmouth football. Many titles followed. I'll be at every game again this year, god willing.

Not sure. I just decided to look at hudl when you guys said he left. Hudl will give you answers if you’re looking for a transfer. Ill say this though. I had a gut feeling he could transfer, the offense from swo didn’t suit him. If he’s not starting at an, he’ll be an athlete starting somewhere
The culture has change for sure. I don’t think at the end of the day. His transfer had nothing to do with him being a fit or his attitude. He had the same attitude for 3 years. His dad got a job in Wilmington area. Dempsey sent him home because he was telling his teammates he was leaving. Far as Whitehead being the Qb, winning with him time will tell. He got a good arm he can throw down the field. Anybody that knows football 7 on 7 and Scrimmages is totally different then a game situation. You don’t go against a teams best 7 or 11. Because most high school coaches trying to see what they have in those game formats. I will agree Southwest successful teams puts a good athlete at QB. I would use Whitehead in spread. If Southwest can throw the ball consistently in a game situation. If not I would put Don #1 at Qb run the “T” or wing-t or some type of wildcat formation to put the ball in your athletic kids hands.

Yea it’s definitely different with coach Padgett gone j was on his last championship team in 2012 that was my jr year i know all about the ground and pound. I’m just ready to see what they got Friday night
