SP opens with Statesville with neither team scoring. SP then beats both SI and SM 3 scores to 0. SP Offense has a lot of weapons. Hale, Leeper, Jones, and Gibson steadily gained good yardage in both of the last two scrimmages with a number of breakaway runs. SP only passed the ball twice with Grier catching a 15 yard out for one score against SI and 50 yard over the top play against SM. SP secondary looks strong with Mayfield, Glenn, King, and occasionally Grier. Canterbury was as good as always at LB and Hunt looked good. Building a defensive line is likely the biggest challenge for this Raider team. Wet muddy field kept things basic for all the teams. Just great to be out there watching my Raiders again. Man, have I missed football!
