South Point @ Burns

Gonna go ahead and get this started cause this a very interesting game... Great game to start conference play for both... South Point is probably the best under .500 team in the state .. Burns has been rolling since the opening loss to KM... I think Burns wins this one, but South Point won't be easy ..

Early thoughts? Burns 24-21

I dont think it’ll be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination. If Burns will play disciplined defense and stick to their assignments then I don’t see why they’d lose this game. But...it is south point. It’ll be a fun one for sure

This should being a very TELLING GAME for BOTH TEAMS.

It’s an interesting game, no doubt. I’m still not sold on Burn’s passing attack, South Point has to pressure the quarterback, get him rattled back there, but obviously, Pryor, at running back, is a handful, the young man is just so dynamic, he’s special. South Point must somehow contain him, which is a huge challenge in itself.

As for Burns, there front seven is stout, South Point plays right into Burns’ strength, defensively. Burns is stout against the run. It would benefit the Raiders greatly if they are able to complete a few passes, and keep the Burns D somewhat honest.

Nailed it! I never in a million years thought it would take Crest putting up 51 to beat Freedom. I also never thought a Crest defense would allow, 35, 51 and 48 in a 3 game stretch.

Yea, I saw the Ashbrook scrimmage. But they tried to throw it a lot for some reason. And their O-Line doesn't dive at the knees like SP does.

somebody hit it on the head.. a telling game for both programs this week. Gonna set up the showdown with Shelby whoever wins this one. SP has good athletes and the red bone cannot be taken lightly even with the recent struggles. they can wear a D down and keep pryor off the field.

Changes have been made. Play makers are taking snaps now. We used (3) QB's this past week with snaps distributed pretty evenly. #5 and #23 at QB present issues for any team.

Mountie, my comment would be ignorant in most seasons, but with SP playing backup QB that isn’t skilled at reading the ends then loading the box will shut them down. Go watch Crest and FV film.

I just hope SP can keep it reasonable. I saw Burns at CC Jamboree and watched some video. Pryor is a very good back. There run defense is very good. Front 7 looks strong. Also my daughter a Burns graduate, says SP is going down! GO BIG RED!!!

Does your no meth policy state that one must bring meth with them or they can't come, or is it that no outside meth is allowed and you have to purchase it at the concession stand?

I know our run defense has been pretty good, but the redbone scares me. I'd be willing to bet our offense scares SP too. I think this has a chance to be a very high scoring game.

Honestly I believe Burns wins this game. Last week was a big boost for the Raiders and I’m sure glad to see it but I believe reality hits and hits hard Friday. I’m a true believer in the bulldogs this year. Hey I may eat them words but it won’t be the first or last time
