Was good to finally get the whole thing started last night. Enjoyed some good football even if anyone could only watch FFN. That being me lol. My 2 cents worth and mostly your thoughts.

SCramer proved to be a nasty opponent to the Ltown crowd. 1st game against good team oughta bring out the best down the stretch.

West Lincoln may be finishing higher than expected or Draughn is just THAT bad. A poster said they have improved, don’t look like it.

Newton taking care of business, nice first win for coach Pack. Musta not have lost too much in the exodus. Obviously track stars are not playing football over in Claremont.

Nice win for Maiden playing what looks like a better than usual Foard team. Prob one of the closer games of the area. Is Maiden living up to the sweet 16 hype?

EL losing to a fine opponent in Forestview. You guys still sticking to East taking the conf crown?

North went up early but came up short on what I believe is a state ranked 1A team that played Cherokee close last year in their playoff loss. 1st game for Bazzel and crew, someone fill in on what happened there. I had no highlights.

LNC falling to a private school. May just finish in basement after all.


Next week should be interesting, y’all fill in on thoughts of last night and what’s to come.

   Bad Quarterback play, bad playcalling, bad defensive player rotation. 4 turnovers. The defense did all they could to keep them in the game. Defense was on the field all night and hardly any rotation from the sidelines. Offensive playcalling was skeptical at best. Sidney Dollar targeted 3 maybe 4 times all game. But in all fairness 3 of the turnovers were not the quarterbacks fault. But he struggled with the strength of his passes. Often coming up way short. Offensive line looked horrible. Absolutely no running game. In all honesty this should have been way worse if not for the defense playing respectable considering the amount of time it was on the field. Back to the drawing board mustang's. Definitely need better coaching and rotation on both sides of the ball. Thoughts anyone???

Appreciate the response I know it was just a copy paste. I read that thread. I created this one cause many South Fork fans won’t create one for their teams games the day after unless it was something close and meaningful in some way and don’t feel like commenting but if it’s one for the whole conference they might fill in alittle info here and there. I post these things so I can get s scoop on what’s going on. Maiden fans are quiet. Newton fans been alittle quiet, North and Lincolnton fans post some, no WL fans or LNC fans on here at all seems like ha ha.

I’m sure East is gettin out the first game jitters. They should be ok rest of stretch but in this moment as I’m writing this I don’t know their schedule.

I absolutely forgot bout Bandys when I made this thread this morning. Last night they handled St Stephens quiet well. Here lately Saint is not a team you would want to sleep on and it showed in the score. Years and years past this matchup would be a moral victory for saint if they got more than 2 TDs.

Week Two for my wolves might be even uglier than last night. I wasn't able to attend the game because of work but I have heard that it ain't pretty. Hopefully we play hard next week and keep it respectable against a somewhat down SP team

All respect to Crest. All respect. If they played SP like they did then I can see SP winning if I had to bet but I do believe the L kids can and will play a lot better. If you guys seen the WL score on Draughn would you guys be alittle concerned about them down the line? Seen a newspaper photo of them in a scrimage, they looked pretty big. Beating Draughn ain’t saying much but that many points and a shut out, wow. EB blasted the worst West Caldwell team ever last night, not saying much either. If those boys get some wins and Lincolnton holds their own I sure would like to see a first ever Lincolnton/EB matchup in playoffs. Wishful thinking at this point so we’ll come back to that around end of Oct. ha ha.

I'm not concerned about west really but that game is a ways away. I think our depth is gonna hurt us playing schools with bigger numbers but by conference we'll be okay.

Freedom lincolnton was a matchup of the 80s that I’m sure had a good gate sale. Not sure what he series is but I believe these 2 stopped playing in the 80s and maybe early 90s

That series was stopped in the 80s. In the 1990s, Shelby, North Gaston, and South Point were the non-conference opponents. West Lincoln was a non-conference opponent back then too.

SP over Lincolnton by 4 scores but no more

I think Bandys will squeak by Foard in a nail biter. Too many athletes to fail in this one.

No brainer Maiden over EB. Moral victory if EB scores twice. If they do they MIGHT have a .500 season. Doubt it.

Don’t know anything bout LNC or Pinelake. I’ll go with what you say.

Everybody is quiet on Hickory. I’ll give em a W but it won’t be by much I’m sure.

Ashbrook has this but shouldn’t be by more than 2 scores.

West will dominate Cherryville. No question. How do you explain domination over a new and improved Draughn team this past Friday.

NL would find a way to lose on a bye week. Gotta keep the pedal down boys, tighten up on D in the 4th. - ok I’m just being alittle comical but still.
