Well, we've nearly reached the bottom of the barrel. I'm not sure if i can honestly bet on them winning any of the remaining games they have. Sad times at the O.K Corral.

I just wonder what do we have to do to get Coach Fonvielle back and get him to actually stay ….
I hear he’s coaching the middle school and they’re killing it …
im not knocking Coach Dove but this is what 3-4 years of just bad football at SC and it’s plain unacceptable….

I couldn't agree more, think dove is a great person, just not a head coach. This team has looked lost the 4 games i have made it too this year and it was no different friday night. The players sitting on the benches, you can tell they have no respect for the coaching staff, its tough to look at, never in a million years would i have thought south columbus football would have come to this but here we are, im questioning if we can even beat east columbus, if you think there was a big article in the news paper about the west columbus game wait and see whats in it if that happens. At some point the excuses for dove have to come to an end and we have to move on as a program and give someone else a shot or accept being bottom feeders in an already weak conference.
We got a staff of some old west Columbus coaches …and we’re playing like old west Columbus teams…

I wouldn't be afraid to say if Jake was coaching this team our only loses would be James Kenan and North Brunswick. its all speculation and ultimately isnt worth a hill of beans but the lack of discipline in our players is what stands out to me. I know its a different generation we live but the accountability would be there with a Jake, Joey, Jack Holley coached team...and it just flat out isnt now. I wont even comment on the assistants we have now...
Tbh, I was impressed with South Columbus numbers, especially on the jv team. And they have a few athletes, one would think that they would be playing better ball. With losing, the numbers will be on the decline. I hope that SC gets back to being competitive before that happens. I know what it feels like to go through dark days as such. I was telling our guys just how good SC was, and that you just didn't go down there and walk away with an easy win. And speaking with some of the kids from SC that wasn't playing, they don't want to be apart of losing. So hopefully it'll get better before it gets worse.
I keep my mouth closed these days and just browse the threads but I will say this, somethings gotta give.
I am a fairmont guy.S Columbus haz always been tough team to beat.South haz the same problem with Fairmont.We just don’t have the talent to compete right now an Itz frustrating .Coaching change not the problem.Itz talent.
South Columbus doesn’t have the talent to make a run at a state championship or anything …. far from it …. But they’ve got enough not be blew out before the end of the first half…
I been around long time. Coached football too. Being honest,SC Friday night was smallest I've seen them have,,ever. No team speed. #2 was good athlete. But when your defense leaves wide open recoevers time after time,no adjustments at all it seemed. I want say anything bad about any coach but man Russell needs some good assistants to help out. And when you play a team with more speed than yours you have to run some mis directions or counters to try slow down that speed on defense. Russell took SC to 12-1 seasons and 3 and 4th rounds when he had the horses. Don't forget that guys,but it might be time to move on. I don't think Jake coming back to SC. I wish you well!
Just by observation SC don't have much talent at skill positions. Not putting anyone down just being honest. I can tell the way supporters are talking at SC he may as well go.
Like it or not the HC is only as good as his assistants and their abilities. HC can't coach every position. The accountability and discipline issues are a different story

it’s not just this season this is the 4th season in a row of this….
granted the talent isn’t necessary there… and I can agree the assistance coaches are probably not the best in the world….
however…. there was enough talent that we shouldn’t have got blown out by a bad east Bladen team or lose to pender by 40 maybe lose but not by 40…. And there’s definitely enough talent not to get the brakes beat off them by West Columbus …. It really ain’t even about the wins and losses … they’re not even competitive … I’m not on here wanting the man to get fired…. but something has got to give
