Do you actually think I didn’t know what was coming in the girls game?? They beat everyone in a very down conference that bad or worse!
Cherokee and Swain are co champs Cherokee wins tie breaker based on sweep of Swain.
Conference tournament for men
Thursday: Andrews-Murphy
Friday: Hayesville -Robbinsville
Monday Cherokee vs Andrews./Murphy winner
Tuesday: Swain vs Hayes./Robb. winner
Finals on Friday.
If the format doesn't change.

I wonder how many teams in the history of the NCHSAA have gone winless in conference play then made the finals of their conference tournament. Shows a lot of fight and character
I'm not sure I'm ready to talk Round 2 yet. Murphy seems able to beat and lose to just about anybody. And I don't know much about the Charlotte area teams, but just looking at scores it seems like Cherokee might have drawn an underseeded team first round. CTK record isn't great but are coming out of a split conference full of charter schools, and took Lincoln Charter to OT earlier this year.
I saw that... I posted that before the brackets came out assuming braves would get an easy team in first round.... Braves definitely got a tough game tomorrow night
Robbinsville vs North Stokes should be good game
Should be fairly evenly matched. Don’t think any two schools have inspired more posts on this site about how to get there…pretty similar schools.
North Rowan beats Andrews by 11. Close game until 4th when NR pressure seemed to wear Andrews down.
Swain beat Bradford Prep.
North Stokes beat Robbinsville by 9.

Enjoyed watching the Jackets. Smart basketball team. Wishing them a better season next year.
Glad to see you back posting. Jackets are always well coached and play hard. Just with small town schools things kind of go in cycles and Jackets were very blessed for a while.

Looks like 2d round on boys side will just be Murphy vs. CTK and Swain at Piedmont Community. Call me crazy but I think both are winnable.

Braves had a chance to win at the end but couldn't get a clean shot off, Cherokee actually had the size advantage but just couldn't get the stops when it mattered
Hiwassee Dam girls also beat Mitchell to avenge one of their 4 losses from regular season. Host CTK round 2.
Not sure what happened but North Stokes had 2 players sitting out Friday against South Stokes
