Great defense Monroe had 43 total yards
They held Shelby to total 198 yards

Shelby just like the last 3 4th round games! Run the ball and played great D!!
Monroe averaged nearly 300 yards per game on ground

Proud of the whole group! The Huss game was the wake up they needed. Not to take anything away from Monroe they played hard, but they were never the threat Huss was last week. I could tell a difference in focus from Shelby this week from last week.
If the Shelby O would have been click and crisp all night long this would have gotten real ugly, Monroe was gassed late and Shelby was pounding them with the run!
I don't think I have ever seen that many holding calls in my life, I'm sure they was doing it but geez, it was like EVERYTIME Shelby had a play over 10 yards it was coming back!
The play where truck scored in a 2nd QT they called block in the back that was a terrible call but it is what it is!
The Shelby D was nasty all night, and I really liked how when Shelby was struggling in the passing game they went to pounding it and ran Monroe down then was able to get some yards thru the air!
"Truck" has to be the kind of player that every coach dreams of having, man he can do it all! He plays slot, RB, WR, back up QB, punter and demands the ball I watched him want the ball late to close the game out!
And to the him punting I watch alot of high school football and he punts better than 80% of punters I have seen in high school, plus it looks as if he has the freedom to make the call weather or not to kick it or run if it appears to be open!
Congrats Shelby bring another one home, because until something changes up the road this will be the only place bring them home!

Game ball should go to the boys in the trenches - both OL and DL...Shelby controlled the line of scrimmage all night.
Monroe was a classy bunch. I walked onto the field briefly after the game, they showed great sportsmanship, a testament to their great head coach and his coaching staff.
