Not that i recall...they may have scored 50...but i went to all the games played with Cummings i dont remember that...there was a high scoring game one year..i know overall record is 1-3 against them

In 88 we got our butt whipped in State Championship game.Didnt Shelby get blown out by 50 points by a nationally ranked Burlington Cummings in one of those title games? I know I read that on here some time back.
30-14 was the Cummings Shelby score WAY back in 1988... 30-0 at the half.....We had nothing for them that game.....

I thought Shelby and Crest were rivals? They seem to be in love with each other lately, and telling anyone who will listen how great they both are.
I'm not going to debate how great Shelby is, heck I'll start the order for their next rings... But if you are talking about the Erwin 7-7 east destroyed Shelby the first time they played, and Shelby needed a once in a lifetime Hail Mary to beat east on the championship. Now I still think that is a moot point because a 7-7 doesn't equate at all to real football. Shelby golden lion football rules!
Not exactly sure why that's laughable. Shelby lost to every good team they played last year, why should it be laughable to think a game with EL would be any different. I watched them play on several occasions and they were far a legitament power house. Also, time will tell who has the better passing game. My guess is that ELs passing stats will crush Sheby's stats by the end of the year. Surat is a proven QB that puts up numbers and wins games. Like it or not 7 on 7 is not a true measuring stick to game time play. Shelby will throw INTs and drop passes just like every other year. Your big Reciever will be a beast and hard to handle, but the strength will be in the running game.
Shelby was going for 3 peat in 88 but not a very strong team, with Chad Holbrook being the only threat.
