Shelby beats #3 3a ranked AC Reynolds tonight... .Defense played great the entire game, offense is coming around... Brooks ran hard Malik was a general and the offensive line played much better...

When this offense catches up to this defense watch out


AC Had a very good defense, and the two headed QB monster played really well... Such a well coached hard nosed team, I love the fact we play them yearly..


we aren't quite dead yet no matter what Seadog says lol

So far D really hasnt gave up a td, Freedom scored on a take away reception shelby had
AC really suppose to turn ball over on downs, incomplete pass, refs gave it to them.
D looks strong, on run, still giving Qbs to much time in backfield.
Again if offense keeps getting better, its going be fun.
Great punting, and kicking effort tonight

The smell of desperation closely resembles a Lions rear end. You boys are killing me, lol! Your hopes being dashed (except for the players) will give me joy!
 
Ill amit deep ball not been there, young rec.
But we had plenty of 15 -20 yrd passes tonight.
Surratt ran offense good tonight.
As season goes, we only going grow, alot of young talent on team
Tucker Greene, great catcher

Possibly, sf1! Malik is a great field general. Brooks is a load. The defense is the real deal. However....this Shelby team ain't scaring anyone.
 
I want Shelby to keep winning and go 2AA. I want a rematch of the 1975 Western State Co-Champions. Keep it up, Lions. I'm rooting for ya.
 
congrats to shelby i do think the better team won tonite. however there was a lot of home cooking from the refs .we got a lot of penalties tonite deserved most of them no doubt.not much called the other way. lot of no calls on shelbys defensive backs when they were holding.shelbys running back is very explosive. best player on the field tonite in my opinion.good luck to the lions the rest of the way. go green

A lot of no calls? They called them, one 19 seconds after the play. In my opinion, one was legitimate, the other two, your receivers weren't even looking for the ball, a little incidental contact on both the receiver and defensive back. The refs gift wrapped your only score, calling that a completed pass down to our 1 yard line, when it clearly wasn't. The ACR fans, outside of only you apparently, were even baffled by that call.

You guys got big headed after so called man handling Freedom in a freaking scrimmage, watching us struggle w/ them, then beating a down, obviously poor Southern Durham, a victory in which Chopper747 developed a crush on y'all coming into last night's game, and you all got humbled, and recognized ish is still real in Lion Country.

In my opinion, no. 12 is your best quarterback w/ his dual threat ability. Good luck the rest of the season.

last year every possessing was a touchdown having to settle for field goals does not quiet sound the same.

Last yrs game with Ac was a close game back and forth in score.
Ac went deep in playoffs, this yrs team is ranked higher and suppose to be even better.
They do have a good team, so did Freedom.
We are a young team, in areas we need to improve on, one being receivers.
All we want is to get better every week and we will dont worry.

Malik was off the mark last night, he had a few throws he'd like back, but once he finds his rhythm, and develops chemistry w/ his receivers, look out. We rotate a lot of receivers, literally like 8 of them, chemistry is an issue, and Malik just has to settle down back there, and be more accurate throwing the football, particularly on shorter routes. I see the little subliminals coming from Beavis and Butthead, no need for that, say it with your chest, but trust me, the Shelby quarterback is still going to have a big year through the air. He's a humble young man, and a hard worker. He won't settle for less, but at end of the day, in the words of Al Davis, "Just win, baby".

Improve each week is all Lance wants and us fans.

If were blowing people out, its not as fun to watch, i like to see alittle fight...

O line gave him better protection but I thought he ran the ball well , may need to tuck it a little closer, but looked good nonetheless. I like using two backs, but didn't see that used much till late.

Man, I was really impressed w/ the line last night. They did a great job. As SHS LION has said, we lost a lot of good players off last year's team. The goal with this current team is to improve weekly, be better than the previous week. This team has a high ceiling.

Sounds like, from supper club, to talking to coaches etc. There trying to find right rhythm right now, we are 2-3 player deep in every position so finding key players and ones who want it more have been work in progress.
LA, right improve each week, and establish rhythm each game.
Still alot of dropped balls at times, i did like the rhythm Surratt and Tucker Greene had in 2nd half

I'll predict it now...

Freedom makes at least the 3rd round in 3A

Reynolds makes the Western finals...maybe even goes to the ship.

Now, as a small 2A school, put those two wins in perspective.

Freedom albeit Draughn put up 41 points last night.
Reynolds put up 50+ the week before.
Neither scored on us.

Awesome defensive stand inside the 20 last night!

I think that all teams will improve as the season go on not just SHELBY.
 
i agree that call at the goal line was a bad call on the pass play no doubt. so your one bad call equals out the rest of the game? they were poor refs in my opinion. not shelbys fault at all. you take what they give you.i het thet. again congrats to the lions n good luck the rest of the way. go green

Look for Freedom, and Reynolds to run the table in their remaining schedule. Both well coached teams. Refs sucked both ways. Good luck to the Rockets rest of the way.
