Seeding question

The seedings are done by a combination of conference finish and MaxPreps computerized power ranking system.

you take the conf 1's, then seed those by
their maxprep number.

Richmond 7-4 wil host N Meck 8-3.
Rich finished higher in their respective conference was the decider here. (2)
If they both finish 2nd then the better MP # would be the better seed.
Rich slightly higher there also.
Teams rewarded for how good they are not if they played a weak schedule and have
a better win %%

Scarier part is if McDowell had won Friday, they would have been the representative and would have never beat a 4A team! Let that sink in.

fix the split conference thing and we have a system that's fine, or maybe at large everything after the
conference champs, you cant at large the entire field
it takes away from conference winning,
the bigger side of a split conf should not get the
benefit of the split conf rule.

That's the fix. Smaller classification of a split is a conference champion by being the highest finisher in the conference from their classification. Large classification highest finisher must win the overall conference to be a one seed.

I think only conference champions should be an automatic qualifier. I also believe that the schools schools all be seeded by power ranking. Winning an inferior conference with a bad overall record should not place that conference champion over a team that has one loss to a great conference opponent in a loaded conference.
