East Wilkes 40, Andrews 39.
Nothing to be ashamed of for the Wildcats. They return a lot of players next year and can build off a solid postseason showing this year.

Andrews lady Wildcats lead for most of the night and had the lead with a minute left. Missed a wide open lay up with 38 seconds which would have put us ahead. Proud of these young ladies. We are a Junior lead team with some good young help behind them. So proud for the girls and hate for them that they were so close to moving on to the 3rd round. Two years ago these Juniors were starting as freshman and won 1 game, last year as sophomores they won 8 and now this year with 12 wins plus knocking off Lincoln Charter in the first round and giving up the lead to the 12th ranked East Wilkes team with a minute to go. Looking forward to next year in the SMC which looks to be very tough with most teams all having Juniot lead teams this year
Good run Andrews! Yes, next year should be fun. Our Braves might just be better than this year. You never know about the chemistry of a team, but lots of youth there on this year's team.
Will be interesting to see who takes over 2nd place. Cherokee will be a shoe in for the top spot and Robbinsville is losing their top 2 players. I feel Swain is playing great and will probably take over second place but I feel Andrews and Murphy will give them a battle for the spot. These 4 teams have all their key players back and all improved as the season went on. I still feel Robbinsville and Rosman will be very competitive but my opinion is they both lost their key players. But that is why you play the game
Cherokee has 3 girls averaging double figures who are underclassmen...considering how they rolled through the Big Smoky this year they will be the heavy favorite again. But I think the league will be deeper next year with Hayesville and Murphy being much improved.
