1850 student South Caldwell would have trouble finishing 4th in the SD7. They run the same offensive sets as our 5 and 6 year old tackle kids in youth football.
Maiden looked sharp last night against St Stephens. Saint had a lot of big kids but man that is one slow team. QB Brown has a good arm.
Maiden's defensive line dominated the play. #75 although not in a lot of tackles thrashed his offensive lineman and plunged into the backfield all night. The running game looked good with the QB and Huff having the carries. I think this defensive line is pretty good.
Also impressed with the offensive line as well. Nice blocking position on designated runs. Saint was blown off the line. Maiden totally dominated all aspects of the game. Blow out.

Icard...me talking about Harper being the best player on West had zero to do with South. I was making a point about how he is the guy to stop. So go try to start an issue with someone else since EB hasn't played a meaningful game in 8 years? And as bad as you claim South is they still dogged EB in the scrimmage so I don't care about much EB fans say. I'm not an unrealistic fan..I know South never has nor ever will have great talent. But as much as people talk crap about them, they do more with a small amount of talent then half these teams do with a lot of talent. I laugh when people say "oh they are 4A so they have no excuses." It's comical how just because that they are supposed to be good? Have you seen the kind of 4A kids these are. It's a stupid concept for people to say a 4A team should beat a 2A team. In other words a Watauga or SC should beat Shelby year in and out because it's 4A vs. 2A. Ha...yeah cause they get the same type of athlete? Nah. But I don't act like South is great. They don't have a great offense and the defense looked good against bad teams earlier. But you don't see me getting on here bragging about them so anyone trying to say things about them towards me like an icardcav makes me laugh cause you are going out of your way to try to get something stirred up because I haven't acted like they are a really good team this year. I think they will have a winning record but I don't see a 9 or 10 win team there. But we'll see this week cause they are playing an explosive Maiden team who has already beaten some decent teams this year.

Just last year retardcav was a south fan, he jumped on the Wartard bandwagon this year b/c ole Chippy said they were going to be good.
East Lincoln 41- Forestview 28. 41-14 with 8 minutes left in the fourth. Good solid win for East Lincoln. Maiden and East have yet to post a loss.

Round of applause for SD-7 conference guys...we have 3 teams in the NCPreps Baker's Dozen this week: #1 East Lincoln - #12 Lincolnton - #13 Maiden (I am assuming Linc. and Maiden tied in voting) and Newton had an honorable mention.
East Lincoln proved this week that laying back with seven players can be a problem. Surratt had 266 yards and Colton Banks had 137 yards rushing. Banks speed out of the backfield has been over looked for years. He has great hands as well.
I like Maiden's chances tonight if they get out ahead with quick scoring strikes. In 2013 Maiden forced South Caldwell to sustain long scoring attempts on the ground. South Caldwell is not designed to come from behind. SC contained Farley deep in the backfield and Maiden made a number of mistakes.
A match up to watch tonight could be in the making. Depends on which side South Caldwell's Dickerson (#1 rated NC uncommitted recruit) and #75 Brown line up on. Last week Brown mauled his man at the scrimmage, forcing pressure on runs and passes. At 6'3" and 300lbs he is tough to relocate.

Big night for Farley on his feet. 19 carries for about 260 yards. The Hill couldn't catch him.
That's a nice turnaround from last week. Has Huff back tonight? I would imagine he sat out and will miss a couple more games maybe.
Huff was out along with 2 other starters on defense. I think they should all be back next week.
