SWE scrimmages at Greene Central on Wednesday and then again on Friday at the Tarboro Jamboree vs Tarboro, North Edgecombe, Farmville Central, and JH Rose. Gonna be odd to see one 4A squad going against 1A and 2A teams, but hey....
Name your scrimmages.

Not my scrimmage but I'm checking out the one at Northern Guilford tonight. North Forsyth, Eastern Guilford, Marlboro County, Reidsville, Northern, and Ragsdale will be the participants. Starts at 6:00.

What's going on with Ragsdale? They haven't been 4A contenders for a few years. Just goin thru the cycle that every school goes thru, or have their been coaching changes?

I honestly couldn't tell you what's been going on in Jamestown lately. I've been trying to figure that out myself.

Over the last few years, I have noticed that they don't play with the same fire and intensity like they used to. That's really surprising to me considering that that's what Coach Norwood's teams have been known for. When you saw him on the sidelines, you always knew you were going to go up against a feisty, ornery team (especially on defense).

It's not talent. Judging from the last few years (and last night's scrimmage), they've still got some good talent. The overall numbers do look to be a bit lower than years past. Maybe the overall interest in football is down? (With that program, I find that extremely hard to believe).

As far as this year goes, I don't see many easy W's up for grabs. I don't see them beating Dudley, East Forsyth, or NW Guilford. I can't favor them over HP Central, Page, S Guilford, or SE Guilford. Grimsley should be vastly improved and SW Guilford will have their best team in YEARS. Even Glenn won't be a walk in the park.

I do hope Ragsdale can turn things around though. I've always had a lot of respect for that program.

If it happened to Clinton it can happen to anyone, we are now just on our way back up, but for a while it had dipped as low as it ever was. When we had kids bypassing football to concentrate on basketball we knew the mighty had fallen, but we have risen up, and so can you guys.

That's too bad. To me, they used to be in the category of "everybody knows about them." Wallace-Rose Hill, Dudley, Crest, Independence, Reidsville, Richmond County, Shelby, RAGSDALE. But now....idk.
Side note....Grimsley may be improved, but they lost a good one this season. As I stated in another post, my nephew Raquon White, transferred from there to SWE, and he is lighting it up at the weakside OLB position. I'm super excited.
