Scots beat raiders........AGAIN!!!

How did both teams come out with the injury situation. This is a problem with this game so often both teams lose key players for the playoffs. I hope all the players on both teams ready to play next week. I would like to thank both teams for an exciting football game.

The SCOTS came out very banged up, haven't heard anything official but we had three starters come out and not return. Several other players limped off throughout the game but where able to get back in.

My first trip for this game. Awesome crowd. I got there at 4:30 and wondered, what the heck am I going to do for three hours?

Who punts from the 31? Scotland punter was very effective going down the field. The resulting three yard punt solidifies my point.

After the first td, I missed the rest of the second quarter standing in the concession line. I could go on for hours about the stand. I likely would not have went but after sucking in seven clouds of baby powder behind the student section, I was dying. I will be in the reserved section next year.

With the score 28-14, i felt Scotland needed to run out at least five minutes of the remaining 8 minutes to seal the game. They kept it four minutes thanks it part to the only reception I saw. A big reception.

Then it seemed the clock grinded to a halt. And as I was afraid of, too much time. After facing overtime, Scotland finally got the turnover. After he caught the interception I was screaming, get on the ground. No time to be a hero and lose the ball during a runback.

Scotland needed to run Spyder 2 Y banana more. It would have been a blowout. Maybe I will get to see Scotland again in Winston.

When scotland goes into the 4A charlotte bracket and out in the 2nd round they would be wishing the went east
The 4A West bracket is way different than the 4AA West bracket. Charlotte will only have a couple of teams in the lower bracket that could give Scotland a game. Most of Charlotte's beef ends up being in the upper bracket every year.

Great game by two great group of young men. I take my hat off to Scotland and Richmond County fan base. No loser in this one guys. Great football players.

hokiemtc - Time to review your "big boy football". So one of your favorites, Richmond County, loses the game and the conference to the smaller school Scotland Co for the FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW. Then somehow winds up in the weaker east 4AA bracket, thereby avoiding the beefy Charlotte teams that so easily dispatch them. Is that "Raider Magic"? How will that feel if they make the Title game knowing their program has been surpassed by a smaller school in their own conference? Magic.

Another of your favorites, Independence, loses to Butler, Vance, Scotland Co., and Mallard Creek by a combined 172 to 39 score. Where are Tommy's recruits when you need them? For that matter, where is Tommy?

Your previous homeboy favorite, Butler, can now hardly stay within 2 touchdowns of your recent Flavor-of-the-Month Mallard Creek. Then MC promptly loses the game to upstart Hough, barley five years old. hokiemtc, is that what you call "building tradition"?

hokiemtc, your "big boy" football state dominance is a myth. We continue to expose your incorrect position that 4A programs automatically outperform all others, merely due to their size. We have posters, posters you know and respect that support our position. For that matter, ask anyone that attended the Crest-Shelby game Friday night, would those teams compete well against anyone for a 4AA State Title.

this is still a conversation? It's PLAYOFFS and this thread is still near the top of the forum? Talk about living in the past. This week is the beginning of a whole new season and every team in the playoffs is 0-0. As Clash said "Yawn!!!!"

Honda, with all due respect, you city boys simply can understand the rivalry between our schools. Raiders have won 45 games from Scotland in the last minute with our magic. Almost happened again tonight. Let them crow. Lord knows our fans, not me, but our fans, have crowed over and over thru the years. Our coach is bringing two timeouts back home tonight. Why?

Correction......Raiders have only won 35 games against the Scots!

Go Raiders!

hokiemtc does this qualify for "big boy football"? Note that Richmond Co. vs Scotland Co. game and Independence vs Butler are nowhere to be found.

And Shelby vs Crest is 3000 ahead of Permian High in Texas of Friday Night Lights fame.

Funny thing is, I went to the 3A board for the first time ever to check out the Shelby/Crest game thread. 98Champ is like Heel Yes for Richmond, nobody in his own fanbase will claim him. That explains why they're on the 4A board so much...

12,625 views is impressive if you like that sort of thing. How many attended the Crest/Shelby game. 10,000+ at Pate Stadium last Friday night.
