Didn’t see the thread so I figured i would start one. I know comparing this ND team to last years is unfair but where has the drop off occurred? Is it simply the amount of battle tested seniors that moved on? I have no doubts that this team is still full of talent. I don’t see this as a cake walk for Salisbury as some have suggested. They must come to play and hopefully keep the offensive efficiency from the last two weeks going.

North still has talent. The loss of 10 defensive starters, many of whom started when they were sophomores in 4A ball, left a big void to fill. The D is not awful but they also are obviously not dominant either. The offense still scores points, skill players are not an issue. The size on the line is not the same but it's not as if the offensive line is bad. When the offense executes great things can happen and lots of points get scored. When they don't execute it seems to have a negative effect mentally and more mistakes occur throughout the game.

Both North and Ledford have been hit by the loss of Midway and Wallburg to OG. North lost more athletes, Ledford lost more money. The difference is that Ledfords D covers up more of their weaknesses than Norths does.

But the biggest issue for North this year is finishing. They got off to hot starts offensively against Parkland, Davie, OG and Tville. They lost all of those games in the second half and fourth quarter. Also when they jumped out to big leads against West, Central and Lexington they let those scores get closer later on than the games really were.

Salisbury presents two main issues for North: their defense is the best in the CCC and if North can't get things going offensively then the speed on Salisburys offense is going to be a problem. Salisbury has been playing much better offensively lately and North has always had trouble with option teams that can execute.

Salisbury is definitely the favorite. I'm repeating myself from the other thread but if North can't get their receivers loose then it could be a long night. North really has to step up their game on both sides of the ball to win this one.

ND is playing 2A ball with a 2A roster and the league is much more competitive now with five teams that can beat each other on any Friday night. Lost that big group of 4A caliber players and discipline has cost them games the last two seasons. As for Salisbury, I think it will be a good game and Salisbury will win based on defense. ND, Ledford and THS all have the most to gain these last two weeks and ND has the toughest games with Salisbury and Ledford.

Should be a close game, its a toss up. Hard to say who will win but I give Salisbury the edge because of speed and tackling from what I saw from our match-ups with both teams.

Salisbury in a close one. Salisbury Offense is not a 48 point offense. Only reason I’m picking it to be close. But their defense can match ND with the little speed they have. And their Dline is best in league. ND has got some wins over teams they beat before they got off the bus.

But let’s not act like ND don’t have 3a/4a numbers still on the sideline. They just lost the talent to OG. Stack that on top of undisciplined play, below average coaching, this is what you get. They still have some good looking kids on that roster though.

This game is the biggest game of the week. I’ll be in attendance for this one!!! This game could knock ND out the playoffs. That would be a huge hit on that program.

if only the owner of these accounts had faces i bet you would find it all a bit comical. I'd love to know the years of service on the football field everyone who has posted on this thread has.. Jus- Ah- Fan sounds awful salty..

So my circumstances have changed a bit. I got a promotion at work but in order to get it I'm now working third shift. I'll still be going to games the rest of this year but may have to leave early at times. Either way, football season is going by too fast and I wish we had spring football or rugby to watch lol. Good luck to both teams, hope everyone travels safely.

I also invite you to watch the game with me sir. I’ll be there. Seriously! I’ll wear my UGA hoodie, so I’ll ill be easy to find. I’ll even treat you to a hot dog and drink.

Personally 10 years of coaching in schools. 5 of those at Salisbury...had a few kids and decided to go make some money and see them sometimes. Let’s not assume all folks on here haven’t been there and done that because one person has a negative comment about a coaching staff....

I personally have a ton of respect for that staff at ND. You don’t have the success and get where they were last year just with talent. It takes a ton of knowledge, ability, and leadership to get there.

12 years coaching on and off due to working different shifts. Little league, middle school and Marine Corps base team levels.

Personally I've found that most really good coaches weren't great athletes but they have a lot of intelligence and game awareness. This is not always the case, there are great coaches who were also great athletes, just seems to be more rare.

I myself wasn't a great athlete, I was average and worked hard for what I got. Also injured my knee about 15 times in four years playing on the line lol.

Jus uh fan.... so help me understand. You dislike ND. You think their program is done. Their coaches are average at best. But you plan to attend the game and watch? But you’re not Salty?
Also, I hardly doubt you will be at game in a UGA sweatshirt. My kid has a tournament out of town this weekend or I would take you up on that offer. Would love to hear your “perspective” on football. Must really live an exciting life that you travel to a game to watch a team you hate play on a Friday night solo, just so you can get on here Monday morning and bash everything about them... I’m sorry you are so lonely my friend. They have dating sites for this ya know.

Broadcast it with pride. GO DAWGS!

I try to watch the area best or most interesting game every week. This game is interesting because this makes or breaks ND season. So going to be fun to watch the kids battle to stay alive.

I think you bashing everyone on here. Most of us on here go to a game every Friday and give our opinion afterwards. I one of many on here to have a negative opinion on your coaching staff. Including your own fan base. Someone please tell me I’m lying.

You didn’t mind this website last year when you was mopping up teams. Now you the butt of every joke, and can’t handle it.

My perspective on football, takes 11 on each side of the ball. One team try’s to stop the other team from getting in the end zone. And I think the team that gets in the end zone the most, wins! Ask me anything football Mr. Knowledge!!!

Salisbury forces a three and out on ND's first possession. Bad punt. Salisbury scores on first play with a pass to the flats showing their speed. 7-0 Hornets with 9:27 left in the first qtr.

ND gets a first down but kills themselves with dropped balls. Punt gives it to Salisbury at their own 20.

North Davidson tries a pass on 3rd and 2 and misses. Great punt gives Salisbury the ball at their own one. 11:37 left in the half.
