S. Robeson @ East Wilkes

Scrimmaged them earlier in the year. No offense to anyone but you shouldn't have any problems. Got some athletic looking kids and some big kids but very undisciplined. They had a kid that took a swing at one of ours. They didn't appear to like anyone getting physical with them

Yea I saw them at the same scrimmage Fanstic did. I wasn't impressed. EW worries me more than anybody else on the playoff bracket! Just being honest here.

We played them 2 weeks ago, very unruly bunch. Size but no way they should be in playoffs. Their coach is a veteran does not deserve what he's going through. Easy win for u.

I agree gotoblue. Sounds like nothing has changed. And unless East Wilkes has changed from last year which I highly doubt, they run that veer straight down main street so they will be very physical. Just turn the other cheek when they get mad! lol

Physical is The key to our game, hopefully all S. Robeson will just want to fight and not try to cut block line backers and chop block our ends.

talk about crowds....I've seen several clips on here and TV and EW has played in front of some huge crowds....the WC and WW were unreal....

Bareman, you are correct. I'm not sure of a number for the WW game, but I did see where the AD Justin Call said the paid attendance for the WC game was right at 2,000 but there was more likely 3,000 at the game. The fan base for EW has been there all year long, and it continues to grow each week.

Not a S Rob poster but I can tell you they are not very good at all. The only reason they made the playoffs is because of a forfeit win from West Bladen(ineligible player). Their lone win came against E. Columbus, one of the worst 1A teams around. Get a big lead early and sit your starters in the second half. If you have problems with this team then you won't be going far in the playoffs. This should about as easy as it gets.

Let's just hope the players and coaches prepare for the best. Its the playoffs anything can happen, when teams have never faced each other. Ya never know, some teams may gain or lose confidence based on what they see of the players when they get to the stadium and scope things out for themselves.

Guys Simmons has them rated below Elkin and Alleghany, take it for what it's worth. If we struggle with this team tonight we are a playoff bust waiting to happen. I see our guys coming out business as usual and get after them early. I've been around other programs that have been successful, although our community is use to being the visitor, these 16 vs. 1 and 15 vs. 2 games are lack luster at best. It's a good week to refocus and polish up those basic blocking schemes without a ton of emotion flying around.

Yeah the Calpreps website has a "project a match-up" option, They have been pretty accurate on several of the games this year, ex: they said EW 26 Starmount 21, EW 31 WC 24, EW 28 Ashe 21. Here is their projection for tonight.

[2015] East Wilkes (Ronda, NC) 44, [2015] South Robeson (Rowland, NC) 0

WC is probably the most athletic team we have played and once our guys settled down from the crowd and all the hoopla around the game they did fine. In fact the second half WC looked very average. I guess seeing 2 of the 3 big games we come out a bit gun shy and almost timid then took up a notch at half, I expect fire to be in the air from the beginning to the end not one half. That's if we are good enough to be where we are.

Ive saw some film on S. Robeson. They do have some size, they looked ALOT like Ashe and Central. However their QB is huge. Any details on him??
