Ryheem Skinner

I got to be honest,I would never ever put skinner in Gurleys class, and that's absolutely no disrespect to skinner, but Todd was an exceptional talent that only comes around once in a lifetime twice if lucky,Todd was just on another level in high school and college, and he might be having a down year in the NFL this year compared to his rookie year, skinner could very well be the best back in Clinton history and that's saying a heck of a lot

Is Nick still involved with football he was good at WSSU.

Coop last played last year in the indoor football league for Cedar Rapids.....after he was cut by Green Bay he bounced around a bit but last time i spoke to him he was calling it quits as far as playing football goes

I agree Skinner could play anywhere but right now as time is winding down i think his best shot for a major D1 scholarship if its going to come its going to come from one of the big 5(UNC,NCSU,Wake,Duke, or ECU)....would love to see him at UNC Hood may very well be going pro along with Logan....ECU very well could be a possibility especially with WRH's Glaspie leaving.....i heard at the beginning of the season Clemson and Virginia Tech were interested have not heard anything since......but at the end of the say what matters most is getting a chamce to fo to school for free and getting that diploma....WSSU,NCA&T,UNC Charlotte,Fayetteville State,Coastal Carolina etc etc would all be great places to play.....could always transfer to a bigger school and walk on......Remember those twins from Hobbton Brandon and Jason Simmons went to Elizabeth City State then walked on at ECU Brandon ended up being the starting RB

Ryheem is good, very good. He isn't SEC good and it doesn't have to do with talent. He just doesn't have the size. He is ACC good but most likely not Clemson or FSU good, again not talent wise, it's his size. Those guys recruit on a whole new level. I think and hope Ryheem ends up somewhere he can show off his talents. Where that'll be is yet to be determined, but if Clinton makes it to Chapel Hill for the state championship game, Larry Fedora may be watching and who knows.

I sent Coach Fedora a Hudl highlight of Ryheem on twitter and Fedora liked it and retweeted it. This was early in the season.

Not implying anything but at least a letter of interest. But, we'll see.

The ACC is inferior in other words?

Wholeheartedly agree! Anywhere...I just think he should be getting more attention.

Skinner is good, but is he Florida St good or even Alabama good like the above poster said?,I understand being a fan of his and thinking he's good enough to play anywhere in college football, but to be even looked at like a program like Alabama I would think you would have to have some national recognition,I remember the kid from kannapolis Brown nick Maddox went to Florida st back in the early 90's and barely got onto the field, and that kid was something special right there.
Not implying anything! Come on! Just a letter. A letter of interest. Don't blow this out of proportion. But you might be surprised!

I'm a Thomasville fan first and foremost, but always been a Clinton fan ever since I first seen them play in the 1990 SC game against my DAWGS...any Clinton fans on here who can name that big DL man,who intercepted our QB pass to seal the 14-6 win for Clinton, all I remember was him racing down the sideline for about 50 yards with not much time on the clock?...Skinner deserves a shot somewhere great RB

If Clinton makes it back to states it will be back at Wake Forest not Chapel Hill.

I had heard earlier in the year the this year the site for the 2A and 2AA state championship was gonna be in Chapel hill. It rotates every year. 2 years ago, it was in Winston-Salem, last year was in Raleigh, this year Chapel Hill unless I either read it wrong or it has been changed since Hurricane Matthew.

I think Chapel Hill is hosting 1A games due to the schedule that weekend on campus. With eight games it makes it a logistical mess.

UNC is looking for running backs. Appears they are mostly interested this season in guys that will run between the tackles but one thing is evident at UNC after all the issues if you struggled to qualify academically they are very hesitant to offer unless you are a big time talent.

Good the DarkHorses are 5-1 in Kenan Stadium!

Yes he could play at Alabama,Florida State,or any other D1 school. When Mark Ingram played at Alabama and won the Heisman he only ran a 4.6 forty. This kid is faster and will get bigger, stronger, and faster in college. When Gurley played at Tarboro he was only 6'1" or 6'2" 195lbs but look what happen when he got Georgia. The kid from Raleigh that played with Gurley at Georgia in the back field wasn't as big as Skinner is now coming out of high school. Look at the kid heart and not his size. Could be another Tarik Cohen that's at A&T now from Bunn.

Keith Marshall had decent size at 5'11 but his speed was his most impressive stat. He had the fastest time at the NFL Combine when he left UGA early. Gurley was a tall runnig back. Why would you write "only 6'1" or 6'2"? Way taller than most high school running backs.

Maddox did not want to redshirt and opted to play wideout and return man his first year. Should have redshirted. He was first on depth chart as a junior at running back and knee injury sidelined him. He ended up behind a huge running back, Greg Jones (from SC), who went onto an eleven year NFL career.

Currently fourth on the Bama depth chart is true freshman BJ Emmons from Morganton Freedom HS. He is about 210 and may be 6 feet tall. After his junior year Emmons had offers from every major program in the nation that he showed any interest in.

Only seen him a couple times this year & same last year. He is an excellent running back but he can play defense with a lot of teams. One thing I noticed about him is the amount of leadership & respect he gets from his teammates, as strong as I've ever witnessed.
