My CEO at Tideland EMC is from Bertie. He is a really great guy and good to us. During the early stages of power restoration after Florence a contractor for us out of Williamston was upset over where we were putting them up for the night. He knew our CEO before he came to Tideland so I guess he felt comfortable running his mouth to him. He said a few smart remarks and our CEO got upset and really came back at him. Those standing nearby that witnessed it were really surprised and one spoke up that they should calm down a bit. Without hesitation our CEO turned and said he wasn't worried about him cause he could kick his ass without even thinking about it. He said he played football at Bertie High back when he was in school and he said the only time I ever got to start was when we played Williamston. The contractor from Williamston just had a stunned surprised look on his face. The argument was over. You would never look at our CEO and think he may have played any football but he did for at least a game each year. My kind of guy!!

We have training classes at Northern Nash Community college each year and they warn us about going to certain areas of Rocky Mount which I don't drink so I usually hang around the Hotel. They do have a nice place to eat if you are ever in the area that is worthy of a shoutout here. The Prime Smokehouse located in the old downtown area. GPS will lead you right to it.
He had to have knee surgery. Hes playing at NC Wesleyan. Good luck to yall
