McMichael came from behind to beat Walkertown 34-32 Friday night to move to 4-0 in the conference, same as Reidsville.
McMichael has to be one of the most surprising and improved teams this year with a 6-2 overall record. There haven't been many winning seasons in McMichael history.

Game is scheduled for Reidsville Friday night.

Seen them play once this year. They didn't have a lot of players but they have talent. Good running back sophomore decent quarterback and receivers. They will have problems with Reidsville speed. Probably be 42-7 type game

only saw McMichael in the pre-season scrimmage against either SE Guilford or SW Randolph (can't remember which) and I was impressed....they had some players......not often can you say that about McMichael football....that side of Rockingham County (western side)...has never had much of a football culture (at least in my 71 years)...................

Madison-Mayodan has never had a decent football record and it carried over to McMichael...Reidsville has played one or the other of them for decades and has only lost 2 times........in 1962 (12-7) and in 1986 (12-6). Rarely has there even been a close game.....................

This one won't be close unless y'all consider 42-7 type games close. Doubt will set in on the visiting side like always when Reidsville scores early, gets a good special team play and strikes a McMichael player "in the mouth." That last thing will happen on the opening kick. It will be on.

I was looking at the video of our county preview of games. The guy said this is the biggest county game in the last 20 years. I don’t believe that part. But it is the biggest mcmichael reidsville game that I know of

maybe.....back in the early 90's the Morehead/Reidsville games were big games......hasn't been a whole lot of those type games in years..............

2005 reidsville morehead was a huge game, 2012 reidsville vs rockingham was big and 2015 reidsville va morehead we’re all big games within the last 20 years.

if I'm not mistaken...2005 was the last time Morehead has beaten Reidsville (34-28)........Rams went on to play Shelby in state title game that year (Golden Lions won 26-18)...........................

I remember you remember my parents old friend MM coach Raymond Kure. I remember him but don’t recall his winning that much. I remember going to see them play Western Alamance and my recollection was they got beat. Nice fell seemed like. He was real good friends with a uncle of mine
I thought y’all upgraded in a conference, but playing McMichael for the conference championship?
Good luck to the Rams!

The old conference is probably better with Cummings being better

Good to see M-M having a good season.
Does anybody remember Dave Gutshall coaching there ? He went on to state champs at Cummings and then in South Carolina.

Wow didn’t know that. Sure remember him at Cummings though

If I remember correctly...Gutshall's wife was from the Madison-Mayodan area.......guess he's retired now.................

Rams had ball on McMichael 1-yard line when game ended.
McMichael actually has some good looking players and made some nice plays. Just couldn't hang with Reidsville's incredible speed. Sophomores Lee and Flippen hooked up for four TD passes in the first half.

Rams' sophomore combo of QB Lee and WR Flippen was incredible.
Lee was 17 of 24 for 357 yards with 4 TDs and 0 ints
Flippen 8 catches for 188 yards - TDs of 28, 20, 49 and 31
Peoples also went over 100 yards receiving; 6 catches for 104 and McCain added 3 catches for 65 yards
Watlington rushed for 93 yards on 11 carries
McMichael's QB Wright had a nice night with 11-19-1 for 187 yards

Total yards: Reidsville 588, McMichael 273
