Well known on this forum: Reidsville is one of the favorites in the football playoffs, Graham is not.
This is a seven-school conference and only five field football teams.
It must be noted that conferences aren't formed by the NCHSAA with football in mind.
In the fall sports season, Reidsville excelled in football but was pretty much non-existent in the other sports as far a competing in the conference. Carrboro, bottom feeder in football, has excelled in other sports and won the state title in volleyball this weekend.
In girls cross country, three of the top seven finishes were by teams from the Mid-State 2-A: Durham School of Arts 3rd, Carrboro 4th and N.C. School of Science and Math 7th;
In boys cross country, Durham School of Arts was fifth and NCSSM was sixth.
In girls tennis, Bartlett Yancey was state runner-up to Salisbury.
