Reidsville featured in newspaper's All-Area teams

I know we lose some talented seniors, but it looks like the best is yet to come for the Rams the next few years. Let's win our 21st next year!

Biggest hole next year is replacing 30 rankin in the middle
I think his vocal leadership will be missed more than anything that’s going to be the hardest to replace. Athletes are a dime in a dozen. But a leadership trait is something you either have or you don’t you cant teach it.

Congrats to the kids.

I come in peace, but I have a question. Again just trying to gain knowledge not start a war.

I see two different numbers for Reidsville. One place says 20 titles another 17, why the difference? Either way Reidsville is state Royalty no way around that.
Heck, I`m still hoping for 1.

Yep, I like number 8 but we need somebody to compliment him. I don’t think we were deep at mlb.

Shelby and Reidsville both won Regional Titles. It was as far as the State would allow teams to go. Which is or was the State Title

The NCHSAA came up with something a few years ago not to recognize the titles from 1960 to 1971 because "they did not culminate in state championships," stopping at the regional championship round. For example, in 1969 Northeastern won the Eastern Regional and Reidsville won the Western Regional. The NCHSAA didn't allow them to face off.
Essentially the state sub-divided classes for playoffs into regional brackets. Now they subdivide classes by ADM numbers -- so there is no culmination of state champions now either.
I've always said that a school should be recognized as a state champion as long as it wins the final game the association allows.

Reidsville won title in 1963, 1969 and 1970 that the NCHSAA doesn't officially count, thus the 17 instead of 20. Gladly, most media recognizes the 20 titles no matter what the shortsighted, inconsistent NCHSAA says.
