SWO still has athletes all over the place. They just won't play for these terrible football coaches hired at SWO. Once storied program, now a dumpster fire.

Just like your fantasies of having a life. Or calling Shelby the greatest. You have no receipts of anything. Keep on losing lil man. Your team can’t even make it to a semi in basketball. Stick to lacrosse: that’s better for you
I would be willing to bet that any one male who participated in high school sports, has seen a fellow member, if not themselves, do something dumb, demeaning, digusting, degrading, even illegal
(or whatever adjective you choose for Kendre’s actions. I know that I have seen more than one occurrence on my team alone. One event should have caused one of our better members his season. The stage in Wake Forest’s Joel Coliseum is a very large one for high school sports. High school teenagers do stupid things in North Carolina everyday. Many, much worse than the belt incident. They do these things EVERYDAY. The stage just is not there. Its not on TV. But you can find them on REELS. The expectation when you represent your town on a statewide and indeed nationwide stage is great. Leaving out the belt incident many criticize him for removing his jersey and holding it up while parading around the court. Any fan of the teams, not in the position of Reidsville, would have loved to have had their cities name held up and paraded in like fashion. Mind you while parading, he was pointing to the Reidsville logo not to his number “zero” on the same jersey. He was proud of Reidsville Athletics.
It is interesting that no one has came forward that witnessed what Kendre said to the two Northwood fans he shook hands with. Kendre should realize his future is better served by being a pitbull on the court and a mild mannered mutt off the court. He would sell more shirts, shoes, cards that way, personal appearances, even to Northwood fans.
I will say from watching Kendre for 3 years, you want to taunt him, go ahead he will rise to the occasion and make you pay double. That I admire. Just do it on the court and let your smile be seen.
I give him a break for a little indiscretion. Let it go. He is still young and he will learn.

Well my “dumbass” will continue being a Reidsville fan. 99 percent of the kids I’ve seen play for Reidsville show class when they win and they win a lot

It's a shame that hasn't been the focus of this thread. There is a lesson to be learned through all of this and lets hope that happens from everyone involved.

Basketball is over with. Time to move along with positive post. None of us know how we will act when winning a state championship as a 17 or 18 yo. If any problems, hopefully Coach took care of it.

I believe Reidsville Greats like 6-3 SG Robert Doggett (Started for Wake Forest) Who broke the NCHSAA 3 pt Shooting Record in 1990 with 123 made 3s. Or 6-4 PG C.C. Harrison (Yes his Uncle) who lead his 1994 Reidsville Team to a 30-0 State Chip (Shooting 52% from the floor), starting for N.C. State. Or Football Great Jerone Simpson (2nd Rd Pick to the Cin Bengals) or Na Brown (UNC & Phil Eagles) Don't disrespect the Legends that came before.
Not hard to find the video of the "Duck" spanking the visiting coach with a belt during the starting lineups. I guess their was no consequences ....
He didn’t spank the coach, he ran towards him with the belt in the air during the starting lineups. I can link the video, just didn’t wanna be disrespectful to Reidsville or Gretna’s coach. I hated that he did that too because it’s extremely distasteful, but out of fairness literally spanking is a totally different implication/accusation than what actually happened. Again though, don’t wanna make that seem like I’m defending it because it was extremely corny.
I know we have moved on. But I myself want to apologize to Kendre Harrison and the fans of Reidsville. If you are being harassed during a game and being called everything but the child of God. The reaction that was seen makes sense. No player should have to experience racism at any age. Northwood fans should be ashamed of they way they conducted themselves.
Melvin "The Bionic Man" Watkins, UNC_Charlotte final four team starter, was pretty darn good.
Na and Jerome could hold their own on the basketball court as well. CC and Doggett were super talented. That 1994 team was loaded with Harrison, Na, Pass (Breon's dad), the Lee twins and many more that slip my mind.
So tell the truth. You really don't like Harrison or Reidsville do you? You questioned if he should have been allowed to come back to Reidsville during football season, you state he isn't good enough for D1 basketball, twice during this season you state Reidsville doesn't play quality teams and the margin will always be large. This after Reidsville's margin in the regional and state finals was 29 and 17. Reidsville during the season knocked off 1A state champion Corvian, 2A Private St Champion Caldwell, perennial powerhouse Farmville (a bit down this year but good) and highly rated Va St. Annes-Belfield.
Boy I can't wait to see all you offer up next year.
