Reidsville passing game didn’t look to bad being it was their 1st game. Running game needs some work, along with Run blocking. All of which is expected and can be worked out as the season goes along. One thing I did notice is that after the 1 group defense it’s a big drop off. #12 should be in the rotation with the first group of linebackers and get more playing time. I was disappointed in HP Central team. No way they survive playing in 4A with 2A numbers. HPC fans was disappointed also they were more upset that a 2A team came and did them like that. I few Older HPC and Andrew fans quickly gave them a history lesson on Reidsville football and how we’re not the Average 2A team.

The conversation was very interesting. Once the game got out of hand the HPC fans and Andrew fans lost interest and talked about Reidsvile. Some of the older guys that played in the 70’s for Andrews talked about playing against Lee Cobb and how he could stop on a dime and change direction. They also talked about playing against Melvin Watkins. At one point they got to arguing about who had the most state title between Reidsville and Shelby and the kind of system Reidsville has In place to ensure they stay successful. These guys were in their 60’s and 70’s. It’s was about 15 of them and they were former football and basketball players. I never told them I was from Reidsville, didn’t won’t to kill the conversation plus it was hilarious just sitting there listening to them.

I know the crowd you are talking about. Quite a few local legends in that group that were big time players for Andrews and a few ACC schools in their day.

The athletic fee is $45 per child but subject to waiver if kids qualifies for free and reduced lunch so that’s just an excuse, but not the reason for the decline. Jones has run that program into the ground over the last 3-5 years.

One of the fastest teams and backfields I have ever seen. That backfield was also state champions in the 4x100. ‘99 HPC was a special team, period, one of the best I’ve ever seen.

trivia fact...last nite was the first time Reidsville has played HP Central since 1962 (a 14-6 HP win)…....Either one of those 1962 teams would have easily beaten this years HP Central team...……………………...

I agree with you regarding the county but quite a few surrounding counties were doing it so they did as well. It is what it is. Regardless, math says you can afford $45 if you aren’t within the boundaries of poverty. Just addressing it as a fake excuse for Centrals issues. It certainly doesn’t mean I agree with the fee just to be clear.

Off topic, but I don't think Mcmichael has a jv team this week. Rams may run into that a few times this year.

man... I dont know...HPC had that high powered triple option, but T-Ville had a defense that the likes of hasnt been seen often if at all since then.

Im thinking a 10-7, 14-10 kinda score that could go either way.

would've been a heck of a game.....Thomasville in '95 was 16-0 with EIGHT shutouts (Reidsville, SW Guilford, Ledford, Union Pines, Northwood, Randleman, Mooresville, and Clinton)...a lineup of teams that's not exactly chopped liver......…...........
