Tough season for Bucs, coming off a pair of 5-6 seasons.

Wins over Carrboro 24-14 and W-S Prep 32-26 and could have had three more in the W column. It tough luck started with the opener, an overtime 30-22 loss at Southern Vance; then a 7-6 loss to Granville Central; and a 29-28 loss to South Stokes in week 6.

Lack of coaching continuity at base of problem in Yanceyville. Joshua Brumfield is third coach in last four years.

Their middle school program is really pretty decent. They play RMS for the championship next Thursday.

Their middle school program is always pretty good...something definitely happens between middle school and high school that doesn't translate.....main reason is coaching and coaching continuity (just what TGT brought up)..........

bucs always have athletes. good team speed on this year's team. low numbers and losing mentality and continuity on sidelines not a good combination
