RD4 (3) Whiteville @ (2) East Duplin

Strick any chance # 8 will play Friday?
I heard today he couldn't put any weight on it. It doesn't look good. Next man up just like last week. I know it sucks, but that is football. I hope he can at least long snap. Told my grandson to start practicing with John Carter who did the long snapping last year. If he has to I think he will be ready.

Not taking anything from clinton but the boys just weren't focused or ready. When they came out in the second half they were ready to play, they had a pep in their step loaded for bear. They scored 21 pts in the 3rd qtr alone and went on to win. This tells me that had the boys played with that kind of mentality, drive, and determination in the 1st half, the game would not have been close. Agree or not, that's what I saw.
No problem. It's all good my man

First off. Clinton had a lot to do with the Panthers poor play in the first half. Their coaches had a plan and the players executed. Battle made some adjustments to the running attack at halftime and they paid dividends.

On to Whiteville. There are no bad teams left at this point in the season. If you're not preparing like your season ends with a loss then you're doing it wrong. Make no mistake... the Price family knows all about East Duplin. And they're preparing a game plan accordingly. This is not going to be easy... points will be like finding hens teeth.

Get your popcorn ready.

The only thing clinton had to do with ED not playing well in the first half was the fact that clinton was fired up and ready and ED wasn't. Their level of intensity and/or sense of urgency was non existent until the 3rd qtr.

You are right. This will be the third game in a row that the other team knows exactly how to play us. And if we win it will be 4 weeks in a row. Definitely mades things harder. Still like our chances.

Nah I'm gunna give Clinton a lot more credit, they came out and clocked us right in the jaw. You make it seem like we was playing South Lenoir or something lol

Battle made some good halftime adjustments vs. Clinton. We stopped running up the middle so much and got outside a lot more and it worked. Also made them respect the pass with that TD we almost had over the middle. Avery was a beast - he would not be denied. I hope he gets to play at the D1 level.

I think ED wins this one, As I said before season started, this is EDs year to get back to the finals, probably the best one they will have for a while. I will take ED by 1 score.

I hope he does too. Only thing so far is N.C. State has offered is preferred walk on as far as D1. Hope he gets that late offer like the Wallace guys did the last few years. Have heard some talk of Navy and couple of others. N.C State may up the offer. He's a great kid with the perfect attitude and the grades.

He's a great kid man, after our last game against them, this kid stood at the end of the handshake line and greeted every Jk coach and player. I hope he gets a chance to play D1 as well. He sure has earned my respect and I'll definitely be rooting for him.

Now you got me rooting for him. Sounds like he was raised right. Unless he does not like the college, I would take any offer that paid for his education.

Strick68 or loveboat500 is Joey Price on the sidelines helping or is it just his son?

I don't think he is involved a lot. He stands at the end away from the other coaches looking at the game. Sometimes he will walk down and looks like he offers some advice, but I don't if they listen. I know I would. He mostly lets JP run the show on offence and Matt Scott run the defense. My ? is how do you not listen and take his advice knowing how many championships he has won. You would be a fool not to. That is just my opinion.

That's what I meant. I mean who wouldn't take advice from him. He's a proven winner and he does it the right way.

It will be interesting to see how our defense compares to Clinton and WRH ‘s. I think we can hold our own but that’s why will be taking the trip to Beauleville(sp) Friday.

All you good posters from ED let us know if you hear anything about the game being moved because of the rain. Friday and Saturday look's bad but Thursday looks better, but I know a lot of teams don't want to play on Thursday. If we hear anything we will let you know.

Doubt they’ll move the game this weekend. Hate it but my whole family is heading to Boone Friday morning so I’ll try to find it on the radio or here on N C preps.

Don't think you have to worry about that. They playing Friday night.

I saw there was only a 1% chance of rain tonight at ED. Man that is great. The players can now strap up and get it on tonight and see who advances. I am going with the underdogs Pack to win by maybe just a little. Good luck to both teams and hope no one else get hurt. LOL from old Strick 68.

East Duplin's offense may not be as explosive as the one you faced last week, but their defense will most likely be the best Whiteville has seen all year.

Panthers by 10

Olddog77 I think ED's offense can be pretty explosive myself. I know you didn't write the original post but I think most will agree that ED's offense, just like WRH's can more than get the job done if you compare points scored this season. Good luck to the Dogs tonight as y'all gonna have your hands full trying to stop their Big Boy's running game.

Wrh plays turnover free football, I think we win. We definitely won't win with turnovers and a bunch of penalties. Jmo
