Purple Pretenders Pity Party

Over at Crest, kids interested in theater slip under the fence or hide in the trunk at the Bessemer City - Kings Mountain Drive In.

Rulz, what you and your merry band of misfits don't understand is that building in and around SPHS is about to explode. South Point road may soon be a 4 lane, and as we experience 2a, we may end up having 3aa numbers while competing in that classification. SC was a corrupt boondoggle!

This is exactly what I was talking about to the guys on the other site. We will have 2A numbers for 2-3 years max. The initial phase of homes being built on Lower Armstrong spanning down to Seven Oaks bridge will be close to 1000. I would not be surprised when it is all said and done if we end up playing 4A football.

Fewer than 10% play football at most any high school. And with concussions on the forefront, fewer and fewer. Lots of kids interested in theatre, music, cross country, golf, tennis, baseball, skateboarding, gaming, guitars, and smoking pot, etc... Girls these days have as much interest in Metros as Football players. Our kids will probably be posting junk on the Lacrosse board in 20 years.

No Dog in.the Fight I am glad to hear you are such an expert in.the fine arts. You are a connoisseur I can tell.

And those kids will be bused to Cramer and East Gaston. It's already been decided. Just a matter of time before the Gaston School Board pulls the trigger and converts South Point to a county maintenance shed.

Who's going to live in those new homes? Parents who want their future footballers to grow up at the Optimist and learn to run the wing as a kid, or folks with Volvos who drive their kids across the Cameron Morrison to play Lacrosse in Charlotte???

The "Big Boys" of Gaston County seem a little too worried about such a new program...

Is it a fear of what's to come?
