I was surprised to see East Rowan listed number 1. I know they lost some quality players. But they will return really good pitcher.

Not being a smart a$$, just curious why you think it is pretty bad. Other than I guess you think your team should be higher. I promise you I have no clue in how they should be ranked. I would not even know where to start.

I want to preface this by saying all of these teams will be very good. The order is very questionable.

- Greene Central had a 2 headed monster with their pitching last year. Both are gone. Who will fill in?
- Uwharrie Charter, while a very good 1A team, should not be Top 10.
- Morehead lost their star in Nance, their top 4 hitters and 11 of their top 13 hitters. The article even says, Morehead lost key players and need to reload.
- Burns won the state 2 years ago as sophomores and lost to Greene Central in the championship last year. This will be their best team in the last 3 years.
- East Rutherford took Burns to 3 games in the semi-finals last year and return pretty much everyone.

That's just a few observations.

Based on my dealings with preseason polls. It is usually from how things ended last year. It's a tossup the first couple polls.
BleedBurnsBlue IMO I agree that all these teams are good but question the rankings.

I will say Burns will be tougher this year than last from what I’m hearing. If I’m wrong correct me. I pull for East Rowan since I live in Rowan Co. But I know Burns will be tough. Did they get matchup with TC Robertson.

Yea, they play TC Roberson this year in Asheville.

Burns is the favorite to win it all. No doubt about that. Randleman will be good. Morehead did lose a lot and will take a step back but that have a really good underclass group and will be better than most expect. Burns and Morehead play during spring break.

Any pre-season NC baseball poll that doesn't include Charlotte Catholic in it needs to be checked. Lost to TC Roberson and got some nice influx of players to accommodate the already solid squad they had! Two 90+ arms and both are Juniors and a Soph LHP that is mid-upper 80's. Big time SS as well....this might be the team that could derail TC Roberson from a 3 peat
