It's been hard for you as of late...hasn't it. Seeing two CleCo teams at the top of the preseason 2A and 3A polls....and having to see them stay there all year....and having to see them play in back to back to back state championships and having to see them win 5 out of 6 of those state championship games and having to see them go 31-1 last year only losing to themselves....yeah...I'd try to strike a line through them every chance I could too.
AC Reynolds over South Iredell and Statesville?? They lost a guy that accounted for 90% of their touchdowns and rumors of transfers. No way they're top 10. South Iredell returns 80% of last years team that made it to the 3rd round and Statesville returns 8 starters on both sides of the ball.
I believe most of the these rankings are based on what you did last year. Even though I do believe Crest deserves the number 1 ranking with what they have returning and the new players that have come in.Big Creat fan told me the new QB is a beast.
UNC commit 6-6 280 DE/DL Jordon Riley will be apart of the Southern Durham squad for his senior season. There will be other new editions to the squad as well stay tuned the Souljahs are coming back for the crown again

Crest is overrated this season. They deserve to be number one, simply because that have been for the past two years. With that being said, I will be shocked if the Chargers make a run all the way to ship. Here's hoping nobody has to get off the bus in the fourth round! Shelby will be and should be the team representing Cleveland county football...but let's just be honest, 2A football only gets so much respect, The lions needs to find a way to at least move up one more level.
I hate the loss to KM, that's a tough blow to a great squad. Kids these days seem to get injured a lot easier then in the past.

This could be Southern Durham's best defensive unit in years. It's going to depend on their ability to reload at LB. They're going to be loaded in the front 4.
Offensively i have not seen any of the 7 on 7's, but I heard from some non-SD fans were at some of the events that their size and skill within the skill kid group on both sides of the ball is impressive. I do know that two skill kids hold D-1 offers, 6'3 180 QB, and a 6'3 185 WR/FS. Additionally there is a 6'6 240lb TE/WR. There's very little game film of him at TE during his Jr. year, but the schools he has attended camp at like him as a potential TE. He played DE last year but will be featured at TE/WR this season. He'll definitely be on D-1 radars this year. There's another 6'3 185 WR who just received a D-2 offer, along with several more within the 6'2 -6'4 range that have a chance to emerge on D-1 and D-2 radars. There's also rumors of another skill kid transfer that many are saying is going to be as impactful to the offense as Riley is to the defense. I guess we will see........
The S Durham story. Chapter one, recruit other teams hopes except Hillside. Chapter two, dream up some story about how nobody thinks they can do it except Hillside they know it. Chapter three, keep it real that those D1 and D2 are not grades and next year they'll be at Hillside . Chapter four, hide the eligibility list from the NCHSAA like Hillary Clintons emails or SDHS record against Hillside. Chapter five, win this year because next year Hillside sends em' home during conference play then sings 'Basketball Jones' during the playoffs.
If i were a SD fan. And thought we were going to the ship........Don't listen to the haters....Full well expect....To face the Chargers.
Not paying any haters no mind especially a bitter Hillside fan. Not our fault your top players bounced like a kick ball talk to the players and their parents. Southern going to keep doing what we do which is win on and off the field producing top scholars and owning the city of Durham like we do competing for another state championship. Charger much respect to your program hopefully we will meet again to break the tie.
Better get it this year because next year its

SDHS has had their fun being a magnet school and recruiting players then calling the 'Nobody believes in you' tune followed up by ' Everybody is against you' ballad. They played with the ADM numbers to drop out of the 'H' shadow then got caught by the NCHSAA who dosent catch anybody. They should have run the 3A table with the talent but have been beaten twice by conference teams and been squeezed by others. So have a good time this year until you meet Crest or get beat by a lesser team because next year its

Let's get a couple things straight, 3A was MEGA weak compared to 3AA last year, Roucky Mount would have been prison raped by Weddington and ACR last year, I can't say they've improved that much since. Concord was a joke, reminded me of Freedom....hell I'll say KM could have competed with concord and won.
Crest is still overrated until proven otherwise, Coach Clark is still questionable. Any decent coach can win with superior talent! I hope nothing but the best for the sea horsey's but, this is the year crest finds out if Clark is the man for the job.

i heard the new qb at crest isnt even going to be the starter heard hes a big kid though
also the preseason rankings are just for fun not a lot to base them on really sumtimes teams with high expectations just dont jell and sumtimes teams with not a lot of talent work hard and come together
New year Crestuff. Besides worrying is for losers which Crest isn't. Hopefully we can have part 3 this year.

Coondog just hope your QB makes it out the 1st quarter my friend. I'm looking forward to those great SP concessions and those chumps that sit on the visitors side leaving at the half.
I hope the Crampers make it back home after we beat them and their fans don't get mad at the coach after the let down losing to the midgets.
I am an ACR fan and I think they are a bit high this early in the campaign. They will have to find out a lot about themselves in the preseason and the non conference games. I would think by the time the conference part of the schedule rolls around they will be much better. The one thing they have going for them is an experienced O-line. Defense will be ok. I look for some different stuff with the new D coordinator though. Losing a talent like Rico Dowdle will be felt, there is no denying that. Ready to get it started though.
