You're right about that. My FH Yellow Jackets have Shelby in the first round and whoever wins most likely has Burns in the second round.
That will be a good game more than likely. You get them at home luckily for you. Shelby will travel well. This will be the best game of the 1st round in 2A West I believe.

Doesn't surprise me at all. We never have luck in the playoffs. Whether it be injuries, pairings or other miscellaneous problems. We've just got to put our big boy britches on and play ball.
Reidsville only has to worry about Maiden

Reidsville pulled the murderers row ticket last year. We need a break to find our zen.
I think Chase could give Reidsville a better game than they did last year. But it does look easy overall.
Yeah the way we have played at times this year we shouldn't take anybody lightly.
I am less than enthusiastic about the possibility of playing James Kenan in the second round.
It’s the playoffs. No cakewalks. Whoever makes it out of the west would have deserved every bit of it. No matter who takes it home
I also believe whoever wins the Shelby burns round 2 will meet Reidsville in finals. That bottom half doesn’t seem so hard after watching forest hills and Monroe . Just my opinion but I think Shelby and Burns are better. So the bottom half isn’t murderers row . But this is what all we wanted. Unified brackets so we can all see who the best is. If your the best your going to win. Simple as that

Went through my bracket and filled it out. Mind you, limited knowledge of the West.

I think Shelby could be ready for the Yellowjackets. Hopefully, Shelbyfan1 can given us the golden scoop as the week progresses.🙂
Not making excuses but I think the players we were missing changed the whole way we played. Bridges is such a game changer.
These are my reasons for picking Shelby with ease over FH. Just a honest opinion

I remember my Freshman year at Forest Hills in 1986 playing you guys in the 3A West Regional Final. Muddy field and cold. We fumbled on the opening drive and ya'll scooped it up and scored. We lost and I believe ya'll won the title. The game is actually still on youtube. We were hoping to get back in the 3A championship game. We had lost in the title game in 1985 to Burlington Williams 7-3 and had won the 2A title in 1984 over Whiteville. I believe Shelby has a 2-1 or edge on us in the playoffs. I've been to every game.

That sucks. I think that Robinson game is a 50-50 game with Chase without Mccombs. With Mccombs I'd choose Chase. Lol I think our bracket last year was really tough. We can't take anyone lightly though. The Reidsville that was dragging along in some games looked bad. Not sure what to think with you guys' vs Forest Hills, I think it will be close though.

I also Believe Shelby with Bridges will be a one score difference possibly 2 next time around. I’d be shocked if FH beats Shelby. I’m rooting for the Lions cuz I want a semi final matchup if Reidsville is fortunate enough to make it that far.
Shelby vs FH is a toss up, in my opinion. But, they will be favored in all the algorithms.
FH were underdogs in 3 games this year according to Massey, Calpreps and Simmons. FH won 2 of those and lost by 2 to Monroe when they were picked to lose by 18-21 points depending on which site you used. Still though I think they'll have FH the underdog.

So the western finals is part of the bracket or no? If we get that far we would have earned it. Just like anyone else. People think it’s a guarantee. I remember years ago people booked us a win against randleman and we lost 38-35 round 1. Were way better team and didn’t focus enough and lost
Maiden and Bunker Hill have a potential rematch.
Maiden is the only one in that bracket who could realistically send Reidsville home, but they would have to play mistake free for 4 qtrs.

Let me adjust what I said just a little. Reidsville has an easy bracket until the 4th round. Is that better?
