East Surry sounds like the truth

That'll be a great one next week with East Surry at Shelby for sure. Although I was really hoping for Maiden / Shelby.

Same here, was hoping to see Maiden and Shelby play.

East is for real though. Shelby better not underestimate them. I doubt they will.

Nah, I actually think Shelby is better, but it could turn into a trap game due to underestimating East Surry and coming off a Reidsville win.

Remember they beat Reidsville as a 1A school.

Could you let us know how many rushing yards Shelby had tonight?

I actually think East will play Shelby tougher than Reidsville did. And a trap game is a possibility, but hard to see how that happens in the 2A West Finals with a State Championship appearance on the line.

I just think Shelby is the best 2A team this year. Heck, they would still be playing if they were 3A or 4A too.

Thanks Maiden Creek. What a great game between 2 really good teams. Ups and downs for both sides, offense and defense from both sides (although the final score doesn't look like it), outcome in doubt until ES intercepted the deep pass down the middle with 2 mins left and then got a first down to run out the clock. What high school football should be about. I would have said the same thing if ES had lost.

I couldn’t agree more! It was truly a great game….losing it is a tough pill to swallow…but…the excitement, the back and forth…strategic decisions…and some of the big plays were incredible.
I called it first!…Space Mountain!😜woooooo!😂😂

Hoping Culliver is ok! He made some incredible catches…including the catch resulting with the injury. On the early bomb TD…good lord! I thought to myself as the ball was launched…..well I’ll be darn…Rhodes has finally overthrown him….nope!….Culliver ran it down and somehow made that catch! Rhodes and Culliver have had a bunch of them this year.I’ve enjoyed every one of ‘em too!😉
Hoping East Surry fans did as well!

Our RB Gibbs played his heart out!..he always does! Glad to have Culliver and Gibbs returning!

Kudos to East Surry’s offensive line…truly the difference in the game…in my opinion. They matched up well with our line and Boaz and Armstrong run TOUGH! I thought East Surry choosing to take the ball first and taking it all the way down the field and score…really made a statement! Maiden came roaring back offensively….but our defense really never solved how to stop the run! Maiden made a couple of really good stops…but overall… I thought both offenses were dominating the game.
Speaking of how tough Boaz is….how about that sack…where Hall just annihilated him from behind? That’s another…Good Lord play! He hit him so hard….the ball flew out of his hand like a missile….regrettably…the ball ended up going out of bounds from the center of the field….and rolled back to the line of scrimmage resulting in no loss of yards! That was a crazy play….Boaz got back up too!😉
I could go on and on!…but I’ll hush!

Again!…congratulations to the Cards on a huge win and I’m wishing y’all the best as you move on to the next round!
Give them Shelby Lions all you got!….I know you will!😉
