Reidsville Football has experienced extreme high and lows, since Saturday. A State Title and the loss of a players father. On Sunday, a young man and standout at Northeastern High School, Traveon Freshwater, reached out to me on Twitter. He was super humble and wanted to congratulate Kyle Pinnix. We talked back and forth about the game. Great conversation. Tonight he messaged me again looking to contact Zach Purdue. Wanted to let Zach know he was thinking about him and his family. If you don't think Football is the greatest sport ever invented, you never played. For a opposing player who lost the state championship and who was arguably the best athlete on the field to want to contact an opposing player who lost his father speaks volumes to the young man and the quality young men Northeastern High School is producing. Hats off to Traveon Freshwater! I would expect nothing less from our young men at Reidsville.

He is committed to ECU.

These aren’t my words. I do not run the Facebook page. Just felt like sharing it here.

Wow..that is beyond wonderful and speaks volumes about #4 for NE (Freshwater) and obviously how he was raised......good luck to him in his future no matter what he pursues...................

Freshwater sounds like a great young man. I know NC State wanted him badly until the grades became a factor. Hopefully he gets his grades worked out and makes it to college. Thoughts and prayers with Reidsville for their loss.
