We can only hope James. I wish we could just get it over with and play them in the first round, win or lose. I have a sneaky suspicion that they probably don’t think #5 is a threat, just my thinking. They do have a good defense as I witnessed it first hand. The running attack is nowhere near what previous dogs teams have had,it’s not even close tbh. Spencer would be a big time star in their run only offense. He’d probably be averaging over 200 a game. I saw on MaxPreps that he’s averaging 168 yds a game, that’s something special and he’s only a jr Our coaches are going to have to figure out something with our defense if we’re going to be able to win the east. We can put up all the points we want but we’ve got to be able to get stops.
I think we’ve rolled out the red carpet enough. Beating these other eastern schools is all good but it means nothing if we don’t get a shot at beating wrh. You guys would still say that we’re 0-2 against your dogs even if we won the east.
I keep telling y'all that teams that aren't used to playing Wallace is not going to stop them. So you can't go by what you seen ED did to them, NE will still have to stop them. Unless y'all planning on having ED to come and play defense for ya. Ijs

Says the one who only posts at playoff time. Everyone in our area knows me and knows I’m no bandwagon fan. I bleed green and gold and up until this season I frequently talked with Coach Moore. These are facts that can be backed up by many posters on these threads who I introduced to Antonio. So just learn to lighten up some and be able to recognize the sarcasm at times. I can be critical of our coaches at times but still support our program. If you weren’t concerned about what happened last year against wrh then you should have your head examined. We had a really good team who didn’t show up to play in one of the biggest games ever played at NE. We had former alum come from all over to see the matchup of Freshwater and company against a Kanye Roberts led wrh team. @dogs79 and other posters can testify to this because we hung out with them pregame at Applebees.
If you say so. What if I talked to Antonio more than you? You need to be critical of yourself. That definitely wasn’t one of the biggest games played there. But anywho like I said keep the energy you had pre-season and listen on the radio. Your presence isn’t needed.

So why don’t you take your energy and give NE a voice up here? If your so close to the program, and maybe you are then it would be awesome for you to share some of the insight that you have on these forums.

They didn’t kick onside kicks because they were scared of our offense they kicked them because they were successful on every single attempt. I don’t blame Motsinger one bit, He did the same thing when wrh played at Kinston. Just like NE the Viking players couldn’t corral the onside kicks so the dogs kept on going back to it. That kicker and special teams players for wrh had damn near perfected that onside kick
Ha! BrightLeaf Carolina Packers are the GOAT! I live out of state now, and you folks living in NC cant take a good hot dog (Red Dog, Texas Pete Chili (RIP), mustard, on a toasted or steamed bun) for granted. Everytime I head down for a visit, I make sure I get my fill. I was down in NC at a ball game at my college alma mater last year.....walked up to the concession stand and ask for a hot dog.......the young man behind the counter who I can only assume was not from eastern NC looked at me with disappointment in his voice and said, "Sir, we dont have any ballpark dogs left, we only have the red Brightleafs". I didn't know if I should scold the young man or educate him on the levels of hot dog deliciousness. We can only hope he will grow out of it one day.
I have seen the turf in person once. It is a spectacle, and so is their new weight room. Idk where all this $ comes from, but glad the folks that have it are pouring resources into the school. Now if we could only get that baseball program back to where it belongs..........
Hello again, so the 1st Rd basketball loss the SG Vikings suffered to the WC Eagles that same school year doesn't count for anything? I remember those brothers that were both well under 6 feet tall that seemed like they had more offensive rebounds than our whole team had total rebounds......anyway, if South Granville gets to travel to West Craven, I would look for you and try to speak....and get to add another school to my list of schools attended following high school sports for 25-30 years....I know the projections right now show South Granville a 10 and West Craven at 7, but a lot of things are still in play. First, both teams would have to win their first round games to make it to the second round....Second, I think the RPI will do some of its usual moving and shaking after this Friday's night's games, and we could stay at 10 and 7, or swap to 9 and 8, which would also allow for a potential 2nd Rd matchup, but I think it's more likely that SG will go to 9 and WC will stay at 7, which would not allow us to meet until the regional finalsDon't think I have forgotten you!!You see they are projecting us to play in the 2nd round? I still owe you for that whooping in South Granville. How the heck you been doing? Do you still work there?
I'm in my 18th year as a history teacher at South Granville and still do the stats for football and baseball, been to more than 600 games during that 18 year span carrying the clipboard (and missed 15...between the two sports...3 football & 12 baseball)
Yea I don't really count basketball much. I got to some games but not nearly as much. I need to go to more and support those kids better than I do. I just love HS football. Yea if you do come to West Craven I'll be around the inflatable Eagle somewhere. I'm so full of hot air I guess that is why they let me do the Eagle thingy. You'll know me. Haven't changed much.
I don't get to many basketball games but I try to get to home playoff games in as many sports as possible and caught the 1st Rd basketball game in the 17-18 school year
