This turned out to be more than just a Trap game for the rams. Not sure what PLP had...but it took a high scoring team like the Rams out of their element. I cant believe they scored only 2 pts...after scoring well over 100 the last two games alone.
Are you confused. When your offense runs thru one player and you stop him then you don't go far. Does that simply it for you?
Starmount is as one dimensional as it gets, they go as dezern goes. PLP was way better than everyone thought, very fast and physical defense. Starmounts defense played their tale off as they were put in horrible field possession the whole game. The score was 13-2 late in the fourth before before PLP put it away. I’d imagine starmount had less than 150 yards of total offense. Special teams also have been the weakest part of the team. They’ve had several punts go less than 20 yards which is horrible for the defense and against community school of Davidson gave up THREE kick return touchdowns. Rams have some soul searching to do
this same one trick pony had you pissing in your pants in the 3rd round last year..and btw beat Andrews who just destroyed Mitchell..So yeah... Remember 3rd round halftime score 7-7 MA/Rams last year..and like i said game before that one trick pony beat Andrews. Just because a team beat them that no one expected doesnt and shouldnt take away what Dezern has been able to do. Remember styles make fights. PLP may have something for the Bears too...who knows...Funny thing no one was saying this before the Rams got beat. You guys were too busy trying to take Ashe off your schedule. PLP k-12 school Mooresville, NC almost 1900 total kids...Yikes!!

One trick pony lost last year if my memory is correct. Not once but twice to the Bears. And we have played PLP just a couple years ago. Dont think we will see them this year since in different classifications. MA had close game against ES because they did one thing. They limited their one trick pony Boaz.
I mean sbbb you guys have several trick ponies but you lost to Mitchell when it counted last year. 1 trick or 11 tricks the better team won last night. Honestly sometimes a one trick pony can have an amazing offensive line..Albemarle had TA in the early 2000's..their one trick pony destroyed nearly everybody..Mitchell was a one trick pony too last year against you guys..heck the QB had 30 carries. Not much different than the Dezern kid.
1900 kids k through 12 really doesn't qualify as a giant school. I think they have about 700 in the high school. I wonder if the blueprint is to figure that one out. That being said I was surprised Mount airy had such a tough time with the ash team. But when you're too best defensive players are out I guess you can have some trouble. I personally thought starmount was worse this year than last year. Of course they took their starters out in the second quarter according to their fans. Would actually they played into the fourth quarter. But no sense in getting them hurt. I think starmount is good and tough they beat the hell out of four bush and for Bush play Thomasville well. Probably just an off night for the Rams. I'm sure they'll be ready to go in 3 weeks when they play you bears. Don't forget blueprint you lost that game 40 something to 7 didn't you. There's four quarters not two. And you have to play all four.
MA did have 4 turnovers against Ashe. That gave Ashe good field position. They still played well and I was impressed with the young qb.
Not me Roughtrader....im not from Starmount...EW loss a lil worse to MA the second time...and for the record i was stating that PLP is part of a big school in Mooresville...not so sure why everyone is so shocked that they handled Starmount...Mooresville the city has quiet a bit of a bigger talent pool to pull from than Jonesville/Boonville..but i digress..Lol...hopefully YOU can understand that.
BTW Thomasville is also overrated. They were behind most of the game to Forbush. ESurry will beat Forbush as bad or worse than the Rams if they choose to.
PLP is a part of the Charter School, not Mooresville system. They only have around 650 HS kids in their system so they aren't pulling what you think they are. If you think kids are leaving Mooresville or Charlotte area to play sports at PLP, you havne't been following their programs for a while. They haven't ben too great. Next excuse!!!
No excuse here. PLP is a very good football team this year and from top to bottom I think they were the better overall team friday I don’t think it was a fluke. Their defense is legit

Pine Lake Prep is not part of the Mooresville City Schools, not even located in Mooresville. And it gets it students from at least 3 counties, Iredell, Mecklenburg and Rowan being the big three. If you are going to spout staff, at least you could try to be accurate, at least some of the time or you can continue to be an idiot all the time.
Pine Lake should be 2A with 650 students. Their a prep school and should be pushed up to 2A. For example Charlotte Catholic has small 3A numbers and was forced to 4A, because of geographical boundries.
MA lost to Mitchel because head coach didn't have them prepared or disciplined. MA didn't get better as season went. Started good ended good never got to that championship Plato. You were their you seen what happened. Mitchell was gritty.

They have no JV team and had around 50 players dressed out. They played some really good defense and limited Starmount’s offense.

Good luck to the Rams the rest of the way. Seems like PLP( from Mooresville area) are a handful. The Rams were on an offensive roll with some impressive gaulky stats in those last two games to say the least....kind of scary what they can do offensively if a team isn't up to the the task against the Rams.
Starmount has the big metropolis of Elkin and Booneville to draw from. Insert sarcasm in there anywhere lol.
