I couldn't watch this all the way to the end. Most of these kids are way too young to be playing football. There are a few good solid hits, but a lot of this is just kids leading with their heads and you can see the hitter getting shook up almost as often as the hittee.
This is the most important conversation in football right now: how we protect the players. In regards to this video, we shouldn't be letting kids wield their helmets as weapons when they don't have the body control or decision making skills to do so responsibly. Their helmets are as wide as their shoulder pads in some cases.
I'm sure we all have opinions about youth football and I try not to be negative about a parent doing the best they can with their kids, but I wont let my kid play until 6th or 7th grade. He's not going to get behind the curve at that point, he will avoid some of those well-meaning but oftentimes terrible coaches and his body should be much more prepared for the game by then. If we had flag football in my area, I would sign him up for that as a little guy immediately, but we don't.
