Pee Wee Football Hits!!!

Serious problem with these "Coaches" or should I say "Daddy's" that think the majority of what we saw in this little clip is a "good hit"

And the small little disclaimer at the end says : It is highly aggressive and hits and collisions occur" and EDUCATION and teaching proper form and techniques couldn't be further from the truth in these clips (well the vast majority)

Leading with their helmets even at that young age could cause serious damage, and these look like Mighty Mites which is K-2 grades here... I see a Coach or Daddy saying good hit after some of these hits, I crawl sideways in their ear and tell them how stupid they are for teaching it this way

Just my thoughts.....

I couldn't watch this all the way to the end. Most of these kids are way too young to be playing football. There are a few good solid hits, but a lot of this is just kids leading with their heads and you can see the hitter getting shook up almost as often as the hittee.

This is the most important conversation in football right now: how we protect the players. In regards to this video, we shouldn't be letting kids wield their helmets as weapons when they don't have the body control or decision making skills to do so responsibly. Their helmets are as wide as their shoulder pads in some cases.

I'm sure we all have opinions about youth football and I try not to be negative about a parent doing the best they can with their kids, but I wont let my kid play until 6th or 7th grade. He's not going to get behind the curve at that point, he will avoid some of those well-meaning but oftentimes terrible coaches and his body should be much more prepared for the game by then. If we had flag football in my area, I would sign him up for that as a little guy immediately, but we don't.

That is the very reason I coach my boy. I have no desire to see someone who knows nothing about football congratulate a kid for speering or leading with the crown of their helmet.
I'll take a form tackle over a "big hit".

There isn't anything wrong with learning how to tackle on a tackling dummy first before moving on to live contact. Some of the so called coaches are just plain ignorant when it comes to proper technique and form. This video shows what is wrong with youth football vs. what is right about it.

Biggest load of crap, ever. Teaching, and reinforcing, unsafe techniques is totally idiotic. These types of hits have been outlawed for years. These "coaches" are %100 morons.
