Always a great game haven't heard much about page I know that got good wide outs. That being said I'm taking the War Eagles in a 35 28 shoot out.

Im interested in seeing what Page can do.. They were ranked to finish second by NCPreps in the preseason for the conference. They have some talent there on offense.

Idk a lot about page. Having seen Davie, i would lean with the War Eagles. Very good dual threat QB. But i would say Davie's weak link could be on the oline... I thought Lake Normans d-line had their way at times with davie in that scrimmage. If page can have success on their dline then they have a shot to win. But if not, i like Davie by about 10.

Davie looks like a JV squad! Gonna be a long year Davie fans. Hope I'm wrong

Hahaha you are right. We're is the fire in the kids. Davie will be good at flag football.

Hats off to 3 and 9 that's Davies team.

24 running ball good too...

We are missing the DCAW.... no one wants to be mean... they wanna be soft

Taking donations for a billboard to bring in a new coaching staff.

Common sense when a QB can stand there ten plus seconds you need to blitz to get him worried and moving to make mistakes. Seen one blitz all night.

53 22 final page

Takes aways from game 3 and 9 have to play back yard football to score and defense is no where in site.... maybe they will move half jv up this week to play varisty

Looks like JV played tonight. We won't win a game this season if we have the same kinda performance as tonight. The BAD COACHING is really showing!

Davie looked completely lost. No direction. When you can't even successfully punt, maybe it's time to admit your pathetic game plan isn't working. Same predictable offense as ever. Shotgun every play. No offensive line. Defense that never blitzes and has guys just standing still. And NO fire from the coaching staff. This coaching staff could lose with a team full of div 1 prospects. It's embarrassing to watch.

Amen 1995. Here what I see DC has been a power house for years with tradition and good Ole hard nose football. Win or lose DC was excited to be watch week in week out. Now it's like the crowd has went bye bye and the air is thin in the stadium.

Coaching staff needs to hanging it up and let fresh new coaching come in.

I'd be the first to apply but they look right over me because of age but hey very few and far in between can you find football minds

Even with Cade tonight we would had lost. he done the right thing and used his running abilities to get to a better coaching staff...

Davie players need keep there heads high yeah maybe not talented bunch out there but when coach calls the play then it's blame is the coaches. Just cause this offensive worked with cooter doesn't mean it's going work year after year.

It's not just play calling. Basic football sense is lacking. Page was all over the punter all night. They never changed formation. #2 wasn't blocked once. Yet, Davie never attempted to adjust. Not a single pass was attempted to a running back. 3rd down and less than 5 . Every time it was a pass attempt of at least 15 yards. That horrible zone defense is worthless when you have DB's who aren't within 10 yards of anyone. Only 3 pass rushers all night. And these aren't new problems. It's been the same thing for 3 years. A winless season is exactly what the coaching staff deserves for refusing to even try anything else. I don't wish that on the players, but it's very possible.

The players need to keep their heads up but this coaching staff is gonna coach them to a winless season. I'd love to be wrong here but I just can't see this team winning a game with how they played tonight and the coaches just REFUSE to make any adjustments.

Shame to hear about DC and I can't blame Cade for getting of the sinking ship

The coaching staff got slammed last year and it sounds like it will be another long season for the men in orange.

Oh yeah I watch these games every week and you can just tell that the coaches aren't giving these guys even a chance to be successful. I know this team isn't as talented as other Davie teams of the past but trust me we should be this bad.

The players deserve better. The QB is gonna get killed. I expected some rust and mistakes with a young team, but that was inexcusable. Davie County has always had a rabid fan base, but it's quickly turning sour. Not because of poor results, but because of frustration with the way the team is being handled.

I missed the game, any word on how page looked on both sides of the ball? any details would be much appreciated

Page looked ok on both sides of the ball. It was really hard to judge how well they played because of how terrible Davie was. Page's defense was pretty effective at causing turnovers, but did get burned by a few long passes. Offensively they had a field day against our terrible defense. I'd say they're a solid team. Maybe not spectacular yet, but they have good athletes.

Page blocked 3 punts. Took two back for scores. Also had a pick six. They're only real dark spot was missing 3 extra points.

Let's blame the coaches! Really? Page athletes were better than Davie at every position. Did any of you so called fans ever play the game? Quit bashing the coaches and be realistic. Page had the size, speed, and strength over Davie tonight. Hats off to them!

No ones saying Page wasn't the better team. But, it's not the players lining themselves up out of position all night. Or failing to make adjustments to anything. Or refusing to blitz. Or using the same ineffective video game style offense year after year. Or a running a defense that had 5 guys just standing in the middle of the field, where they were told to be, while receivers were behind them all night. I've played, coached, and been a fan of this game for 30 years. So yes, I'm aware of where the problems stem from. Unless this coaching staff finally admits their approach is flawed, they will continue to struggle. And see more kids playing for other schools.

Davie kid......... go back to hiding and stay off board. Re read WHat we said about our talent wise... playing calling year after year is horrible and when you can't make adjustments and just stand there scratching your head as a coach it's time to pack your bags.... trust me watch college and pros...

That defense we run 335 needs to be trashed the shotgun running needs to be trashed...

Defensive coordinator would had been fired last year. Gave 35 36 last year now start season at 53...

Trust me we aren't as talented but if coaches would step back and go wild aND aggressive these kids would have a shot.....

Davie like a book same junk ever year .....

B tango

3 and 9 and I like 24 at running back small but wil fight for ever inch he gets.
81 is a play maker as well..

Defense 33 would be if they would blitz him wnd let him hit the qb

30 years of coaching? What level? If you have so much experience and knowledge, be a volunteer assistant. Be part of the solution, not part of the problem!

I never said I had coached for 30 years total. And why volunteer when there's no way you can change a mindset that refuses to change? If this staff were doing well, I would be the first to congratulate them. And I know there are decent men on the sidelines. I don't question their commitment, only their approach. Until they begin to see that their way isn't the only way they will continue to fail. The players safety is compromised when they're running for their lives all night. And blindly supporting everything the staff does is much more harmful and damaging than pointing out the obvious and questioning decisions.

Davie kid you need to take the blinders off and watch these games the rest of us have watched the last 3 seasons because clearly what this staff is doing is not working and that was even with a D1 stud Cade Carney. These coaches need to step it up period end of discussion.

Lol kid must be a coach or family of..... and doesn't know much about football or how read...

Ok guys, each of you have made your point on coaching, time to move on to something else.

I don't know what you all are complaining about. Your offense actually scored 22 points in the first half. #3 is a pretty good QB and runner to boot. Your RB looked like he had some first game jitters, but he settled down nicely. (I take it he's young too.) Your WR's caught some awesome catches also. Yeah, the defense gave up some big pass plays, but for the most part was no worse than Page's defense. You take away 2 blocked punts and a pick 6 in the first half, and you have a high scoring, tight ball game. I thought the coaches called a fairly decent offensive game.
Now I only watched the first half, but I came to the conclusion that ya'll are being pretty hard on the coaching staff. The special teams needs some adjusting, but most teams at this point of the season need some too. The coaches may call the gameplan, but they don't actually play and execute it. Just sayin..........
Look forward to seeing ya'll next week in Mt. Ulla. Good luck and safe travels..................

Thanks - the exact point I was trying to make!

I was speaking specifically about #24 DC_PRIDE. There was only 1 back in at any given time.
