I am taking Crest by 9. OG is interesting on paper. QB is young but pretty dang accurate. If Crest can shut down Williams on the ground and really put pressure on the Sophomore QB they could blow this thing open with a talented secondary.
I just wonder what their plan is for stopping Crest.. If Crest blocks just a little bit for Sub Zero he ain't no joke. With the Brock Melton's coming out party last week giving Edwards a partner in crime the passing game should be there. God knows Ayden Carson is a plow so it's pick your poison time.

OG's best chance is to slow the game down on the ground. The one team they played that has balance was West Forsyth. They ran and passed the ball very well and it looks as if OG couldn't shut either down. They catered to one and opened the other one up. Crest will have a balance on offense the same way and I just don't think OG can tame either enough. This. West Forsyth blew the game open in the second half but it was a good one early on. All five West Forsyth offensive linemen were 300 lbs or at least 280 from what I can recall. I was like that's a hs line?! Forsyth county being open enrollment also allows West to get the best athletes South Winston aka Parkland can provide fwiw...
Anyway OG has to slow it down and win the trenches at least. If Crest wins the trenches it will be a blowout because Crest will win the skill positions on the outside.
OG is well coached and fundamentally sound. Their issue, like all Davidson County schools not named Lexington or Thomasville, is overall team speed. They have individual speed in spots but not team speed as a whole if that makes sense.
Their defense is pretty good. Especially up front. Going over the top is their weakness.

I recommend Lexington for BBQ if you have a taste for it. Speedys, BBQ Center, and Lexington BBQ are all fantastic if you wanna go down that road, gents.

Dusina's Pizza (across from North Davidson High School) and Nick's Old Fashioned Hamburgers (just down the street from North Davidson) are good choices. Both are around 10 minutes from OGHS.
Dusina's is small. Mostly takeout. But they have a few booths. Their wings are excellent.
I watched that game on YouTube earlier this week….Charlotte Catholic who Crest played earlier this year would handle WF so you no where I’m going with this😂

No food right close by, and based on above I will not recommend the BBQ (I’m not a big fan of the Lexington red / vinegar based sauce anyway). I’ll get behind the recommendation for Nick’s Old Fashioned Burgers there in Welcome just past ND high any day; I love that place!!! It is about a 10-15 min drive to OGHS - get there a bit early though as the wait can be a bit!!
Aside from that there are a few decent Mexican joints in the same area I’m told (one 2 doors from Nicks, and another about 1-2 miles past Nicks). Looking forward to any new wrinkles Coach Lloyd and his staff may have for this week. The last couple weeks have seen things like using Mosely in the wildcat, Lyric Pettis on offense, and how about that fake punt last week. Coach Lloyd speaks highly of the Grizzlies and the Chargers are looking forward to the trip.

Before Back in Black the Dark Knight lines "the night is darkest just before the dawn... I promise you, the dawn is coming... And here we... go!" play, then the Knights run out to the ND in the middle. So semi relevant stuff lol... I hope the Chargers and Lions and Bulldogs and Mountaineers can come out to our place one day to see. That would mean we're relevant again at least in the playoffs if not a regular season game lmao
