Man you have turn into a Scotland Homer haven't you. Don't matter where they put any team. You've got to beat em all to be the champ so doesn't matter to most. As for last Friday it's over and today is a new day. As I posted last week, let the dang kids play the game they love. Most on here never strapped up and walked on to the field so they are living their dreams on a message board. You pull for the creek and Scotland and let everyone else support their boys. The seeding system is like politics. There will never be a case where everyone is completely happy with the outcome. Just like any new system there are gonna be bugs and unpredictable results, I'm gonna give them a chance to fix these bugs before I complain. I do like that strength of schedule plays a bigger role in the decision and not happy with 1-10 teams getting a bye but what can be done now?
Nothing to do with the boys. Everything to do with the Richmond posters. Creek homer? Yes. Scotland.....hardly.I agree 100% with the you gotta beat them all. Thats why you will never read anything from me about the seeding......Creek went on the road 3 straight and won it in 2015. Last year they had to go to Hough and play round one despite having better record, better SOS and beat them by 20+ points head to head. Sooner or later you gotta beat somebody.
I laugh when posters come on a board and celebrate because their team should have gotten blown out but only lost by 20. Thats comical. You give up 69 points and the only post that should be made is " we gotta lot of work to do"
It may have something to do with the fact that Richmond was suppose to finish 4th or 5th in conference and not even make playoffs. Coach and boys have worked hard and I think most people, myself included are surprised and proud of how far they have come. They may get their lunch handed to them this week or next but I like the way they have improved throughout the season.
I'm sorry, but as an outsider. It's not a fact that Richmond was finishing 4th or 5th in the conference. They finished right where most thought. 2nd in the conference.
Come on Man! They're on Track to finish the season, about where they finished last year.
I follow the sport pretty closely. There is not one poll or anyone I take seriously that had Richmond projected to finish 4th or 5th. 2nd or 3rd. Most were surprised at the JB loss but also surprised at the 71st win. So about right where everyone expected.
Nothing wrong with being proud of the coaches or players but if you are looking at some fantasy world where you were supposed to finish 5th and overachieved thats just made up nonsense to make everyone feel better.
I am thinking about making the drive Friday. I think its gonna be a good game between 2 programs that I think are in similar places. New coaches trying to establish some winning culture. I think its a high scoring game in the 40's. Team that makes the most mistakes plays basketball the following week.

Before the season started I expected RC to be 2-2 in non conference play. Figured it would be tight with Butler as it was. Did not expect the loss to Britt. Did think they would lose to 71st and Pinecrest in tight games and a decisive L to Scotland. Shows what I know. My guess was 6-5 and possibly 7-4. I think Coach Till was a smart hire. Hope they do well.
A lot of Scots fans coming also since they call you a Scots homer now come sat with us. Richmond finished in the conference where i thought they would, but the excuse are getting out of hand started a thread on the QB and offensive line what's next.
Richmond was picked to finish 2nd in the conference, so they were right on schedule; I think we were missing alot of key starters in the Britt Game or we were just having a bad night. Hopefully Richmond wins Friday night and the Stars Line up just right Nep and B&G22, I finally got to see Mallard Creek play live for the first time against Scotland. Mallard Creek has the size of a college team. I would love to see my beloved Raiders play at the Creek, as well I would like to meet Nepsy and B&G22 just to talk football..............I think Mallard Creek has played and beat every top 4A program except Richmond & Dudley but Dudley is not 4A anymore , if not I will be at Pate Stadium Round #2.
I said in the beginning the Raiders would be ready to play by playoff time. Got bashed for it by some... well here we are...it's playoff time, they're still here. They were dreaming when j.b. came around. Wake up call. They're playing Friday nite. Play Raider football...GO RAIDERS.
Wake would handle Mallard Creek like they did Page last year and Heritage this year!
