Northeastern @ Manteo

The Northeastern Eagles will be on the road to the OBX this Friday for a much anticipated matchup against the Manteo Redskins. The Redskins have been on a roll this season by letting opponents out score them by a margin of 189-20. However there is a silver lining, back in late August they beat Norfolk Christian 38-0. I have the #1 eastern team having just a little to much firepower for the home team to overcome.

@dogs79 you guys have a tough 3 game stretch starting this Friday when Kinston comes to the Pound. Follow that up with a trip to East Duplin and a home finale against JK. I would say it can’t get much tougher than that in the east. I have you guys going 2-1 but it wouldn’t surprise me if y’all went 0-3. What are your thoughts? I know this is a NE thread but those games could have a big impact on playoff seeding being JK is #1 rpi I believe. NE rpi will most likely fall because our final three games are against very bad teams.

I was just thinking about this, like how do Wallace finish. If they don't win this week, I don't think that'll win another game until the playoffs. That would put them finishing 5th in the conference.

The Kinston game should be the easiest of the three. I like Wrh in this game even in a down season. With this game being played in Teachey that has to give an edge to the Dogs. I will be tuned in to this one. With a loss against the Vikings I just don’t see Wrh making the playoffs

I hope so, I wish you guys or @oldway55 team would have to come to Elizabeth City during the playoffs. That would make for a fun night especially considering how well the two teams travel

Northeastern qb Tre Jones having a nice senior season with almost 2100 passing yards. Those numbers wouldn’t be anywhere near as good if it wasn’t for the playmaking ability of our receivers. We don’t have a lot of size at wide receivers position but the kids have crazy speed and a knack for being able to make plays.

I see North Pitt has themselves a qb in Famous Wilson. I remember watching them play Holmes last season and I didn’t think they threw the ball very much so this is kind of a surprise.

I wouldn’t like our chances against any of the three. In the east I feel very strongly that we have the best team barring any injuries.

West Stokes isn't very good. Bunch slow white boys. Look on YouTube Reidsville vs west Stokes. NE would walk the dog all over West Stokes pretty simple. Reidsville can't stop the run, they have zero size on the defensive line, zero LB play. I'm kinda surprised to say Reidsville has two good players, Neil and Harrison. Jones looks to just be going through the motions, Sharpe seems just to want to be on camera lol not actually making plays. This actually might be the year NE wins the title goobs

I actually had Monroe listed but the more I thought about it I came to the conclusion that they were a lot like Northeastern in that there always seems to be a lot of hype surrounding them. Then when the playoffs come they always seem to flail out and end up coming up short. This seems to be a trend for them and I think if our teams were to match up we’d come out with our first state championship

Well if we’re fortunate enough to make it back for round 3 against the Rams I’ll be happy. I just don’t think we have anyone who can guard Harrison with his 6’7 size. Neal at qb was already gonna be a handful and add to that a good running game it makes them dangerous. Look as good as the west is I’m not penciling them in just yet. One thing I did read somewhere was that the defensive play hasn’t been to spectacular so I guess that might give some hope.
