Hickory was definitely the better team in this game. They had a few lapses on defense and a couple of bad breaks that kept NL in the game. I was surprised the Coach Glass kept the same defensive set all game with his 3-5 set up and still beat the Knights. The triple option will take you only so far. NL played hard and Coach Bazzle coached his butt off, but came up short again!

That's what they said last year when we defeated 3 straight undefeated teams to win the state 3A Championship. That's why we play the game. Most teams would have trouble with NL triple option offense. Crest and NL are good teams, but so are the Red Tornadoes!

Sorry I just saw this message. I was at this game as well. I will have to say North Lincoln really played a good game. Last week I seen Mooresville play a close one to East Forsyth and they lost 35-30. And tonight’s game was 49-46. Two good games in a row I got to see.

Hoping for the best for Hickory representing the foothills but seems West Charlotte is playing at a level they’ve not had in a long time. Real hard one to call.

Hey guys, don’t go disrespecting the burkeman. Did I not try to tell y’all what was up? Ahhhhhhh well it’s all good guys north had a very good season, the best.

If they can pull some guys up and get some guys around Wingate and Agee, they might come back next year but then again that’s what some West Lincoln people kind of thought. That is a lot of seniors gone.

20 shoes in a school like North Lincoln gonna be pretty hard to fill. Hard to say if they’ll ever have a team like this again but I tell ya that 2019 team had a really strong resemblance to this years team and that offense made crazy noise with a 3 headed dragon in Sorus and whoever that quick feet QB that they had. Came up short against Burns on the last play in OT in 2019 but man they ran that Triple O real good but they didn’t have a war horse like Wingate or a stiff D like they did this year. Just wasn’t a lot they could do against Stober and crew but neither could their D against the Bazzel Triple O special.

What does the JV got going to Varsity next year that might make it stable? Will Wingate and Agre come back?
