I say Chuck the Chest Henderson gets his boys ready and pulls this one off. Lexington 28 ND 27
I know this is off topic but do any of ya'll keep up with the Davidson County Sports Hall of Fame? A few years ago I nominated Steve Everhart who won over 95% of his games and 20some championships in Middle School football. The year he coached me in 8th grade we were unscored on. He still hasn't been inducted and when I see some of the folks who are going in I just shake my head!!
When I played for him we only had 3 or 4 that went both ways but that was in the 70's. He was a heck of a player on the 66 State Championship team as well.Yeah, he only retired a few years ago. Makes no sense but maybe that has something to do with it? Coach Everhart was an absolute legend.
I will say I never understood the system of having 11 guys play both ways regardless, especially when North became a 4A sized school, but hey Coach won title after title so it worked lol. Probably pissed off the high school coaches though...
Agreed and congrats on your son making the Shrine BowlND by at least 5 TDs. Don't think it will be a shutout, but do believe we can score 48 or more total. Hoping for a clean, injury free game.
He did the drop kick. I saw him when I was in high school stand at half court in the gym and drop kick 5 out of 10 thru the basket. Pretty outstandingHinkle was the first "kicker" I ever recall the Bears bringing in. He was a great end as well, but I remember that he had a strong left leg and could send it high and far.
Amazing memories in the Crackerbox when Pete Jones roamed the sidelines and we actually were good in basketball. Been few and far between since the big gym opened. He did the drop kick. I saw him when I was in high school stand at half court in the gym and drop kick 5 out of 10 thru the basket. Pretty outstanding
I remember Turner, Hurt & Staten but I'm sure there had to be more.Who have all the coaches been since Pete Jones?
