Matt Flynn, the man who directed North's transition from power run to spread pass has been named head coach.

This a great hire, IMO, for North Davidson! Flynn has been there for quite a while now and he is the reason North scores a lot of points. I also like the fact that not only will he be head coach, but he's also going to continue to be the OC as well. The 2017 Black Knights return a lot of players, including a bulldozer running back and a Division 1 kicker. Flynn, IMO, is going to have a lot of success this fall.

Coach Flynn has a good eye for reading the defense. He knows how to move the football. I doubt the program will miss a beat this season. Not being sure where the lines will be drawn, I am unsure how the future teams will look. "Many" of the special athletes that ND has had over the years have come from the Midway area. Arcadia and other areas have good athletes as well. After the split, they will play in a tough league still. Thomasville, Lexington, etc. along with the two programs coming from the split....Those four could be really tough on any given Friday.

Not just getting the Midway kids. They are also getting a lot of kids from the Northern Arcadia area. The county has really hurt ND( many say on purpose) with the way the lines were drawn.

That was more about money and parental involvement. I don't think athletics played a very big a part in it. I know I wasn't happy about it. My kids ended up going to Oak Grove for middle school, and it is almost twice as far from my house as ND.

So... Do we cheer for Nd or oak grove now??? Jk, jk... I have no kids, but I would have gone to oak grove if it existed a decade ago according to the lines.

Yes a lot of money will be going into Oak Grove

Yeah the gates at ND will never be the same again. If things were the same I would be an oak grove kid also. I can't believe they are getting some Arcadia kids also.
