So what I’m hearing is N.C. is the fastest growing state. So what does that mean with HS football. Raleigh, Charlotte and Ashesville are some of the biggest cities that are growing due to jobs from what I’m hearing. I know even Mooresville and surrounding areas is growing like crazy.

1. Charlotte
2. Raleigh
3. Greensboro
4. Durham
5. Winston-Salem
6. Fayetteville
7. Cary
8. Wilmington
9. High Point
10. Concord
11. Asheville
12. Greenville

Asheville has actually seen one of the smallest % of growth recently, because its been overpopulated the past 15 years.
Durham has seen some of the largest growth % numbers recently and is in a "race" with Greensboro for the 3rd overall largest city in NC, which Greensboro has been for many years. Greensboro has recently seen huge developments at the airport with many aerospace companies building super-factories (Boom Supersonic, Marshall, etc.) and their subsidiaries and suppliers have moved in. Also, Toyota has invested upwards of almost 20 billion dollars in building a huge megasite facility outside of Greensboro that will create around 2000 jobs when it opens in 2025. By 2030 when its fully operational (10 production lines) around 5000 jobs. Greensboro has seen a BOOM in investment and job growth and many feel its just getting started, as the engine, of the Carolina Core.

I fully expect Kings Mountain to be in the same situation as Fort Mill/Tega Cay area of SC just below Charlotte. For years, although small, it was ranked top 5 cities in the US for growth percentage wise. As of a few months ago, Kings Mountain had approved permits for 4500 new homes. Being close to Charlotte and the 3-5000 permanent, good paying casino resort jobs, the area will continue to grow.

I’m back and forth to Charlotte from Asheville all the time. I’ve done this drive a thousand times and it used to take me 2 hours. Now it NEVER takes 2 hours. Usually closer to 3. The amount of traffic you see now, even in the Asheville area is insane. The amount of times I’ve gone 0 mph on the highway this year alone is in the dozens.
