I was wondering how the rankings are determined? There are teams receiving votes who lost to teams in the same conference, who have better conference records, and the same overall record while the team that won head to head doesn't receive votes, partically in girls 1A?
What's even more interesting is.......there's another team out there (1A girls) who didn't receive any votes.....who reached last year's regional final....who has the majority of their key players back...and who's sporting a good record this season. This team has two very good players and are really being slept on.
Sorry, I don't check the board that often. I am referring to West, not saying any particular team in their conference should be receiving votes, but I wasn't sure how the 4th best team (playing head to head) in the conference is the 11th or 12th best team overall without mention of the teams ahead of them in conference who have similar or better records.
Chatham Central (13-3 overall (5-2 in Conference) last Monday (11-3, 4-2)
North Moore (10-4 overall (6-0 in Conference) last Monday 10-3 (6-0)

Chatham Central has been in and out of the polls. West now has 2 losses to the #1 1A team. They beat Chatham Central and lost to North Moore.
All it takes is one person to vote to make a team honorable mention.

West has a similar record (2 less wins 1 more loss) and won the head to head with Chatham.
West also has a similar record (1 more win same losses) and lost the head to head with North Moore.
It can be a tough decision, I understand that. I just wanted to bring to light some things that may be overlooked by voters. I believe Roxboro at 16-3 (11-0) should also be in the conversation. Something to discuss as everyone votes
