Congratulations to Lake Norman girls with a 67-45 win over North Meck
What an outstanding effort by LN on a day of horrible and emotional events at Lake Norman.
From the coaching that had to set the tone to the ladies that focused on the job ahead of them.
And most of the men’s team was present to support the girls.

I was going to head up to Canton Friday night to see them play N. Lincoln (presuming they both advanced). Now, I have to choose between going to E. Burke or McDowell.
Watauga wins 74-55. The Lady Pioneers at Lake Norman could also be worth the trip.
McDowell wins 53-27. South Meck had 7 points in the 2nd half...
I will be at the Lake Norman vs Watauga game. Can’t wait
Is there a score for the E Burke game? I figured they would beat Lexington by 20+

Just utter domination by McDowell. Led from tip to final buzzer. Their defense is stifling

Robinson travels to Stuart Cramer and could give them issues. I hear Robinson has a presence down low. If SC has a weakness its in the paint. SC does have a 6' center but plays relatively soft for her size.

Idk if MR can beat McDowell, however, Kate Schindler is fun to watch. Versatile 6 footer with length
All depends on how well MR can handle the full court non stop pressure. If their guards are good ball handlers and decision makers it could be a really close one. McDowell doesn't have a ton of size.
East Burke won their 50th straight home game tonight, 69-51. Stillwell is 15 points away from the all time scoring record for East Burke, she is very close to beating Clay Birds record of 2274, East Burke plays Forest Hills Friday and on the other side North Wilkes Plays TW Andrews. Those two teams have knocked the other one out of the playoff the last 3 years.

North Wilkes is talented. One of the Bare sisters was out last year with an ACL tear in the playoffs. This year I think NW beats EB in the regional finals.
Robinsons star player has height but is more of a wing player at 6’1-6’2”, which obviously makes her a tough player to guard. However, I’m not sure Robinsons guard play is strong enough to beat Cramer.
If that is the case I like Cramer. They will look to lock her down with Holland on her I'd imagine. SC's strength is their guard play with Holland and Womack.
For what it's worth a different approach could pull an upset. If they packed her down low and not let SC run the court all night they could pull it off.
I didn't see this game on NFHS network? Did NFHS network show Cramer games this year?

Lake Norman vs Watauga
I’m excited about this matchup. I will be there and I do believe we will see a good game. Any thoughts about this one. Other than Kate Sears who are the others to watch for Watauga.

Wow, didn’t realize Watauga had girls still playing too. They are having a great basketball year girls and boys.
Watauga has some good 3 point shooters and play well/hard together. Their coach does a good job and seems to be a good guy.
I think Sears will be the most talented player on the court but I don’t think she has enough help to handle LKN’s depth. I think LKN wins by double digits.
I’m rooting for a Mountain 4A matchup next Wednesday in Winston with McDowell and Watauga but tend to agree with your assessment, not quite enough fire power from the Lady Pioneers.
Lake Norman is still the big favorite to win the state title but Watauga will give them a battle
I said Tuesday afternoon that I thought LN would either pull it together and blow North Meck out OR N Meck would blow out LN.
In my humble opinion I saw things in the warm up that impressed the daylights out of me from and about N Meck.
And early in the game N Meck was able to hang in with LN step for step. BUT then LN coaches made small adjustments to their traping defense, and the ladies figured out who was fast, who could handle the ball and where they liked to pass the ball, and LN just made a step at the time to go past them.
But make no mistake, this was not an easy game for LN and that was a good thing for them.
And I believe the game with Bishop helped prepare LN for N Meck. You could see in both of these games LN is truly 9 deep if not 10 and if their is a better player in the State than Junior and Navy commit Kelsey Rhyne I really want to see that player.

I have to agree with your statement about LN n Bishop. I was at that game. Bishop was no joke. LN had to to play their best to beat that team. Which brings to mind. Bishop n Cherokee would be one heck of a game to watch. I’m going to do my best to see that matchup should it come down between the two. Which I think it will. Best of luck to LN this week and I will be pulling for them.
