East Surry was overrated to begin with. They beat Oak Grove early in the season without OG’s best player and besides that, didn’t really have any big wins except for over Forbush. They also lost their 2nd best player to an ACL injury last week. They were really just a 2 man show, and one got injured.

Speaking of Oak Grove. If Trista Charles was not hurt, I believe they would be in the running to win the 3A west. Pretty impressive they’re in the 3rd round without her.

I haven’t seen them play but they seem to be good quality team. I was surprised to see that Lake Norman beat 72-17 earlier in the season. They did beat Mooresville by about 20 points. But I do believe that McDowell should be able to beat them.

McDowell should be fine. I haven’t seen S Meck but they had a close game with Davie, which won a very weak CPC.
